i wonder how full our cruise is?

we booked only one excursion through DCL so far, and that is Naples...the Pompeii/Sorrento/Capri one. my girls really wanted to go to Capri and using DCL was the only way we felt comfortable knowing we'd get back to ship on time. and i didn't realize then the all aboard had changed to an earlier time so now i'm even more confident in that decision.

we are doing a tour on our own with AngelTours in Rome. planning on just getting a taxi or whatever in Malta to go to the Blue Grotto. it's all so overwhelming..there are sooooo many awesome excursions and so much I want to see. i didn't realize the excursions may be selling out so we better make some decisions!

i can't believe it's less than 90 days!!

We are trying to decide about the Pompeii/Sorrento/Capri tour as well. Pompeii is the requirement for us and I've wanted to see Capri for years. DH is intrigued by the 4x4 trip to Vesuvius and Pompeii and Wine tasting. After much reading about the summer traffic, I'm a little worried about non Disney options.
It seems like there is a great deal of availability if you try to book our cruise. Maybe we just have a bunch of very hyper planners?

Hi all - we are joining the cruise thread. I'll post our family info later.....but my question is did anyone have luck booking Palo brunch? We were traveling yesterday and I didn't look until this morning and there are no reservations. Also in Palermo I was going to book the Selinunte & Marinella excursion, but no luck there either. Did anyone get that?

Last year on the Baltic we couldn't book ahead for the brunch but, we ended up being able to eat the brunch twice. Just keep checking online and if that doesn't work check with the ship as soon as you get there.

Also I just checked online this morning at Sellinute & Marinella finally showed up. I booked my family of four. DD (11) DS (9). Yeah!!

Just heard from my TA that Palermo times are now 8am to 4pm instead of 9 to 5. DCL will be adjusting the excursions times as well to accomodate this change.

Still looking for others to join us on two private tours - see earlier post above. Only the Rome trip has a timing issue as we also booked a tour guide for the Vatican and we need to get the Vatican tickets online 60 days in advance - so if anyone is interested this needs to be considered.

Yep. You pay for excursions on your cruise tab. So you do not need to worry about paying for them a head of time, but track what you are spending. It adds up fast.

Hey All, we will be joining this cruise as well. Some details....

We are three, Me (Dan), my DW (Eileen) and DD (Abigail, 11). This is our second cruise, we hit the Baltic last summer. We are originally from Maine (me), New York (DW) and Boston (DW, and place we last lived in the states) and are living in Switzerland now (and I have an office in Rome, so maybe I will stop by the office on our Rome day, just came back from Rome today after working there for the week).

We would love to join in on a Fish Extender and look forward to the meet and greet on board. If anyone is planning a Kids meet, let us know. Abigail met some new friends on the first day at a kids meet and we barely saw her on boat the rest of the time!!

We will likely rent a car in Rome for the visit there and head up to Umbria but my wife would love to join any private tour in Malta and we are all open to doing one in any of the other cities.

If you have any Europe questions, let us know... any questions about Rome, also, shoot them over. Looking forward to the trip. Need to buy our tickets to Barcelona this week!!

We are a family of three from Los Angeles, CA. We are DVC members travelling partially on points, second cruise with Disney (first the Mexican Riviera).
Even though I check out this site for tips, I don't post much and can't get my techno-phobic wife to take over. So please forgive any faux paus, I promise I mean well!
Our party is me (Paul), wife and daughter (11) who is extremely excited about the Edge club. I'd love to be able to introduce her to some other kids around her age early on.
I don't know what a Fish Extender is but am willing to learn.
