Anyone want to add pictures? Let me know.

Thanks for posting the Navigators! Just today we were wondering where to go to find out about theme nights and formal/semi-formal events. This is so helpful!

Carri-Ann

Thanks for the navigators!
I hope our thread is slow because so many of us have teenagers. I don't think she's taken up this much of my time since she was in preschool. Between DD's extracurriculars and her searches for colleges, I don't feel I have time for myself. Should get better in 10 days. Hope I can still find good excursions. Still don't have the hotel in Barcelona. Will check the link posted up thread.

I know my teenage daughters consume a lot of mine time... and money. Which navigators to do next. Any one have any requests?

Hi All! New family joining the boards! We are PIF and excited to set sail!

Jeff, I will PM you a picture when I find one! Thanks for putting together that awesome website.

We will be staying at the Renaissance pre-sailing and the Hotel Arts Barcelona post-cruise! Unless we flip flop those, still up for debate.

Hi - We are on the 7/9 med cruise and we have booked two private tours with Romeinlimo and hope some others would join us. We are from NYC and are a family of 5(myself, DH, DD15, DD14, DS12). Presently have a small van ordered that sits 6 and would like to upgrade to one that sits 8 to save money. Here are some details and will provide more if your are interested:

Rome - Basic tour with a private guide for the Vatican. Asked for a reasonable place for lunch for no more than 45 minutes as we hope to stop at the Ferrari store(DH, DS love foreign cars!)and maybe the catacombs. This is around Via del Corso/Tomacelli - a stop of about 20 -30 minutes ( you can join us or walk around the area to sightsee or shop).

Naple/Pompeii/Amalfi- their basic tour with a private guide for Pompeii. Hope to have lunch at a reasonable place with a view. Thought of stopping at a beach on the way back so kids can check it out BUY honestly have not done research on this so don't know feasibility.

I am a little nervous about this but others seem to do private tours this way. It is definitely a money saver.

Emma2- We would have loved to discuss doing Rome with you, but we are a party of 4! Bummer.

Welcome Nemo123. I'll get your info added to the site. Any interest in teh fish extender?

Pictures are freat. It makesit easy for others to recognize you around the ship.... OK that is for just me because I'm getting old and can use all the help I can get.

Any thoughts on having a Dismeet? It would be great to meet up once we're all onboard (a dismeet) and get to know each other a bit. Typically these are done on the first day, but we have a full sea day on Sunday. Any interest or ideas?

Jeff

:welcome: nemo!!

sooo....2 semi-formal nights, huh? i didn't realize that. has anyone put any thoughts into dining rotation? does anyone know of a link with menus? i'm a foodie :teeth:

as for a dismeet -- we plan on boarding as soon as we can on Saturday - don't know if saturday is an option? we are second dining....is there any interest in linking our dining together so we are sat as a group versus random table-mates

Jeff -- how about the Corsica day since it's an earlier back-on-board day

One of two I don't have.... In 2007 we had Sardinia as a stop in place of Corsica. Malta is the other new port for us.

Sorry
Jeff

I added new castaways to our site ... and navigators for Palermo.

Monstro - this info is so helpful!

Nemo123 -I am sorry you couldn't join our Rome tour but I just am looking into a Malta tour that would accomodate 9 -total cost would be 405euro so 45euro per person. It's a classic Malta tour - if you are interested I can send you the info- just get me your email.

Other cruisers - we are still looking to add up to 3 persons to our Rome and Naples/Pompeii/Amalfi tour with Romeinlimo. We would love to save some money.

Welcome MagicCanuc! We're practically neighbours, we live about 45 mins north of you.

It's nice to see some movement and new families coming on board. My children don't know about the trip yet so I am happy to see that children their ages (12,14,15) will be on board.

Palermo- so confused about this port. Decided to do Mysterious Palermo excursion with DCL.

I hope the exchange starts going in our favor - it's getting more expensive to go on this trip. ( And my girls love to shop!)
