7/5 and beyond Question!

Thought I'd throw this question out there. I'm thinking about when to go next and I like the idea of 7/5. I read on Mousesavers that for Deluxe Resorts - that starts the VALUE season. Therefore, my hope is AP rates will be pretty good. For instance, we got the Poly this year for a 2/9 check in for $199. and that included tax.

So, my 2 questions are:

1) Is it true - July 5 starts Value season for Deluxe?

2) I'd love to hear what rates folks got for this time frame last year so I'll have a good point of reference to start budgeting.

I hope that the Value season date is right on mousesavers - we're going in early August, and I would love to have a shot at a good rate for WL. If I'm not mistaken, there were WL rates as low as $109 for some dates last year.

Does anyone have any idea why value season starts for the deluxes on 7/5 but not for the value and moderates? I've always wondered! We stay deluxes so it works for me!

Yes, this is why my WDW vacation begins on July 5th.

$315 regular season down to $275 per night value season, without any discount codes...this is for AKL savannah view.

But I added my AAA and got it down to $260. I'm waiting for the next batch of codes to get it down even more!

I thought it was quite interesting that the seasons were different per type of resort (value, moderate, deluxe). But, I'm glad. I think July 5 is a great idea. I'd still love to hear from folks out there would are willing to share what rate they got last year during this time. We want to stay at the Poly. However, I'd love to hear rates for other resorts.

Seasons at resorts are based on past patterns of occupancy. Most visitors to the parks after July 4 stay off site or in Disney moderate resorts and value resorts.
