How did you work this with your pictures? Did you see your DF before? If you didn't, did you feel that you had enough time for pictures and to make it to your cocktail hour for fireworks pics?

I'm thinking about changing things around and DF doesn't want us to see each other before the ceremony. With the 5pm I didn't care about missing cocktail hour because we'd have fireworks during the reception. With the 7:30 we'll need to be there at least for most of cocktail hour.

We just switched from the AAR because we didn't have enough guests but we were (and still are) planning on seeing each other before the ceremony. I think that really is your only option at this point because if your ceremony is at 7:30 by the time you are done and get to Epcot I think it will be pretty much 9 and time for fireworks.

Also, depending on what time of year your wedding is, it may be dark after the ceremony and the photos might not come out as well. I know in January it will be dark by the time our ceremony starts.

I like the idea that we get to spend some time together before the ceremony and our photographer gets to capture such a special moment between us. I also think it will help to calm my nerves before the ceremony.

We saw each other before the wedding. I didn't worry about it that much as we wanted to get pictures in before all of the craziness started. Being at 7pm, you are defiantely going to want some shots in the daylight. If you are not worried about it. The light before your ceremony will be a gorgeous beauty type light that will do nothing but flatter the two of you together. I would suggest having that time together just to commune before you get sucked into the whirlwind.

DF and I were totally against seeing each other before I walked through the WP doors, I just thought that we had to make it work with the 7:30 pm ceremony time and we would just take less pictures after the ceremony. But after thinking about it for a long time, we decided to see each other before so we can have some alone time together and relieve some stress and feelings of rushing through the ceremony. I really didn't want to rush through the most important part of our wedding and being stressed that things are taking too long that we are going to miss the fireworks with our guests and keeping our wedding party and df and I away from the wonderful cocktail hour we have planned. My problem was I wanted to experience my wedding and get all the pictures from it as well, but there just isn't enough time for both. This way we can also have daylight and nighttime pictures with each other and all of our pictures together will not be in the dark. I love the nighttime pictures, but also wanted some daylight ones of us together. We also have a very large bridal party so I doubt taking pictures is going to be a simple and fast thing. I also wanted to alleviate myself from being a bridezilla and telling everyone to hurry so we would be able to have the fast ceremony and then take some pictures afterwards and still make it for fireworks. This way, we can enjoy the ceremony, enjoy the after married pictures, not having to give up the carriage because it took up so much time, and I am also getting my fireworks pictures! HTH

I know I'm always blabbing about our "first look," but it really sounds like your schedule would work better if you saw each other before the wedding - and I think that moment can be even more special than mutely exchanging glances at the altar. If you watch our demo you can see how our first look worked out...

Thanks ladies. I really think that the "first look" option is what we are going to go with. (You can check out my PJ for the whole drama).
And Carrie, I wouldn't say that you "blab". I'll be showing DF your pics and video (again) later today so he can see.

Hey Lindsey~
We Didn't See Each Other Before The Ceremony Either, We Had 730 At Wp Then Reception Followed At Italy In Epcot We Were Insistent To Make It To Illuminations For The Picts Randy Was Great And We Made It To Epcot About 20 Min Before Illuminations, We Still Got Picts Done In Wp, And Outside Under Arbor. We Didn't Get Daytime Photos, But We Had A Nighttime Wedding And Wanted To Remember It That Way, We Still Had Tons Of Great Picts!, Randy Actually Came To Get Me And My Girls At 5 Pm At Wilderness Lodge And We Went And Took Lots Of Picts In The Daylight Then He Met The Guys At Grand Floridian For Picts Outside, Then The Girls Came Over After They Were Done, And Took More, It All Worked Out Fine!
