It's such a nice sound to hear so early in the morning.
My neighbor's visiting father decided a couple of trees need to be removed, using a chainsaw and 7:25 AM would be a good time to do it. (Boy is the wife upset!)

We live in a rather congested neighborhood and there is nothing more irritating! I usually wait till about 10:00 AM before I do any yard work that could wake anyone up.

What's a good time for you?

Wow, what an inconsiderate clod!

My DH will be using a chainsaw on some trees today too, but he waits until 10:00/10:30

I was awakened by a loud knocking sound myself this morning. I don't know exactly where it came from, but somebody nearby was hammering something.

My DH is on a fishing trip, and I'm alone with my son and dog. I really thought somebody was knocking at the door, and it scared the heck out of me. I tried to get the dog to come downstairs with me to check, but he wouldn't get out of bed. That's how I knew it had to be something else.

He may be lazy, but Max is a good guard dog--a regular walking ADT system.

i would say 10 on a sunday am.

My neighbors are putting up a huge tarp that would cover both of our yards.. must be 100 x 100.

The worked on it last night and gave up... I got up at 7:30 and it looks like they may be getting it. They are quiet so I have no idea what time they got out there and started.. sunrise?? lol

I so dont look forward to going to work now nad having no parking when I come home.

i don't think anytime on a Sunday is a good idea. and anything before 9:30 on Saturday is out for me too!

Holy crap!!! When did my father-in-law get there? And I thought he didn't like travelling????? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :teeth:

Well thats half an hour later than my children (ages 12 and 7) started singing at the bottom of the stairs...mom is a sleepy head, mom is a sleepy head. Hey mom when are you getting up??? Everyone else is awake!!!!!

I plan on spending the rest of the day embarassing them in front of family. :cool1:

My airhead neighbor went out with a backhoe at 7am on Sunday morning. You see, he spent nearly a year hammering daily building a stable. Every day, he'd go out and hammer for a few hours. He's not in the best of health, so I think he gets tired fast. I wanted to go over there and finish the stupid thing for him. Then, the horses arrived. Ah, the horses.....2ft from my property line. But, at least they are quiet. Then, the horses needed room. That's where the backhoe came into play. He loooooves his backhoe. He's out there on it doing who-knows-what a few times a week for an hour here and an hour there. Part of me feels bad for the guy. I think he's strapped financially (shouldn't have bought horses) and he's been trying to rent out the backhoe (it doesn't go in reverse) and he has a sign out offering his excavation services (we have a really reputable well-known excavator in town that everyone uses). He's a moron. Plain and simple. Anyone who would think it's a good idea to put horses 2ft from someone's property line is a loser. Anyone who would go out at 7am on a Sunday with a backhoe tearing up trees on that property line and dumping the trash on the other person's property is a loser. My DH promptly went out there and hurled the mangled trees back over onto his side.

Ah, but I shall get my revenge. I am having my 400ft driveway excavated (not by him) and paved and the noise will be terrific. :lmao:

on sunday 10 is a little more friendlier

sitting here impatiently waiting on 10 am myself... i still have a little work to finish up on our pergola we are building and want to get the lattice up before todays bbq, soo i am goingto start the indoor portion of the cooking and get to the saws and drills later if i can, if i dont, i'm sure the boss wont kill me

Although 9:00 am is fine (to me) to start yard machines of anykind, I think 10:00 am is better.

We live in the south where the tempatures are already in the high 80's to low 90's so I can understand why our neighbors start their yard machines early. (Especially the older folk).

A lot of people in our old neighborhood used a lawn service but since we relocated to the "country" it seems as if everyone has tractors and such and have no problems starting those puppies by 7:00 am. My dh and I have learned to adapt. :teeth:

Edited for spelling, yet again.

Same here!! I was awaken by the lovely tune of *beep beep beep* from the back hoe in reverse at 8 this morning. I must have hit my alarm clock 3 times before I realized it wasn't that
