Thanks for the Southwest info .... saved $144! I love this board!

i'm doing the 100 day dance today for start of my trip![]()
I'm with you on that one! I'm doing the 100 day dance now because as of right now we are exactly at the 100 day mark before we head to Florida to spend the night in the hotel prior to sailing! Since we are doing the surprise reveal the night before we fly out, we are at 99 days!!! DOUBLE DIGITS FINALLY!! WOO HOO!!It's going to take forever for May to get here to check in and July is going to take even longer!

i've never understood how parents manage keep a trip secret
i float for weeks pre tripand the suitcases/hub-ub of packing & spending spree buying new clothes would give me away lol...not to mention the lack of food in the 'fridge.
I just rebooked my tickets from the other day and now I have a $96 credit on Southwest!!!Tickets went down to $72 one way!!

How much did you end up paying pp for your tix? Gas prices have been so crazy lately. I hope your prices were decent. We booked months ago and are flying out of Houston. We got lucky at $273 pp but we are flying into Melbourne...it was cheaper than Orlando!
This is the biggest secret I have ever been able to keep!! I usually tell everything and my family says that I am a satellite affiliate of CNN! But I love the looks of surprise on my daughters' faces and I don't want to deal with the constant "When are we leaving?" question so I've decided to keep my trap shut! I'm doing all of my shopping 4th of July week because I'm taking a week off for vacation when my mom comes to visit. All packing will be done then and hidden under the bed in the suitcases! Kids will be at their summer camp...I love it when a plan comes together!

This may be a crazy question, but does doing the check in early have an advantage?
Originally I booked them (Monday) at 455.60 which it totally reasonable, then I checked last night and the price had dropped so I rebooked for $359.60 for BOTH OF US!!!Now I have a $96 credit to use before next April...hmm where to go...where to go....

Just want to say that I'm really excited. I just paid off the cruise, and finally bought our travel insurance. My teens are actually looking forward to this trip! Only 100 days, or 99 till we fly to Florida!

now i know how people do itsounds like you have it under control. Make sure to post back as to the excitement level
i always just started having kids cross off dates on the calendar, never even considered making a countdown calendar.
My pirate night outfit is officially complete, finding costume jewelry took some time today. I just ordered a costume for the mr on amazon...took hours to find one that didn't look too cheesey/flimsey, hope it fits so i can cross that off the to-do list.
WOW!! You are the ULTIMATE SHOPPER!![]()
Mostly I'm just neurotic about checking the Southwest website.![]()
We did a countdown for WDW and they STILL asked when were we leaving every day!It was fun to have them help with the planning, though.
I don't have costumes for Pirate Night. It sounds like you went all out! The only thing I have are earrings and eye patches for the DDs. Gotta get some bandanas if nothing else. Costume stuff is on my shopping list.

Wow, this place is hopping now that people are close to paying off.
What excursions are people doing? We booked a room at the Comfort Suites to go to Atlantis. In all the cruises we've ever taken, we've neer been to the Bahamas, except on DH and my first cruise over 20 years ago, when there was no Atlantis yet. Of course, we're looking forward to going to Castaway Cay twice--our favorite port ever!
