Sunday 7/20 I was the first one up at around 7 am. I decide to let the others sleep for a while and head to the lounge for a cup of coffee. Wow, everyone greeted me again....so perky for this early! I took my coffee and headed for the elevator down to walk around for a bit. I decided to follow the sidewalk past the pool area, stopped every two seconds to admire some plant or flower. I kept walking thinking I would just circle the resort once and come back to wake everyone. Big resort. I didn't even make it as far as to see up where our room was before I decided I'd better turn back and go to the room. Sure enough, by the time I got back everyone else was stirring. We went to the lounge to check out at the breakfast offerings. I tried the hot cinnamon rolls that everyone on these boards raves about. You're all right, they ARE delicious! The kids opted for cereal, bagels w/ mango cream cheese, AND fruit!---I knew paying extra for club level would be worth it for my ds'! We dressed lightly in clothes that would dry fast and headed to IOA . Here are the highlights of that day. Loved Jurassic Park and the boat ride. Headed over to Popeye's barges. Like the idea of that center part that you can store your dry things in...except the snap on ours didn't work. Rode Rip Saw Falls and ds17 lost his favorite hat on that drop. (Is it our imagination or does the water at Rip Saw have a horrible odor? ) The attendant told us to check at lost and found the next day to see if the hat was turned in. DS said he's not sure he wants it back after being in that water. We spent a lot of time just wandering through IOA observing buildings, people, and snacking (of course!) The sky was getting dark so we decided to head back to RPR to clean up and then go back to City Walk to eat dinner later. At this point we really started to enjoy the closeness of the hotel and parks. We cleaned up and then hit the lounge for coffee and sodas. After the storm let up we headed back to City Walk to look around. There are neon lights everywhere! We agreed that the layout is much better than PI at WDW. It's busy, but there seems to be plenty of room for everyone to move about. It was time to head back because we had to get up early in the morning for Discovery Cove. I'll write about that next.
