I just listened to his speech.

I figure we've either just elected the biggest con-artist in history....

or we have been fortunate enough, as we have in the past in times of great crisis, to find another Lincoln, FDR, JFK caliber leader just in the nick of time.

I'm not going to quote all the wonderful answers to the "how do you vote" questions but I would like to say a huge THANK YOU for all the fantasticly graphic explanations about how and what you vote on.

In Josh's school they've obviously been discussing your election and how it will impact all of us over here. I'm going to print out the photos you've posted of all the different machines so he can take them in tomorrow, it's all very different to how we vote over here although I wonder if that will change with our next election.

I can only hope and pray our new president elect protects this country from terrorists because the economy, and all other issues ,will have no bearing if we are attacked again as in (9/11). I just dont feel very confident, I hope he proves me wrong.

I voted for the Ding Dong, and I hope he does the right things! Time will be witness not rhetoric.

I thought John McCains concession speech was very graceful, it is tougher to be noble in defeat then victory!

Linda was reading the thread, and commented on how cool it is to be talking with people from other countries. It is really neat to see your interest in our election, and we really enjoy reading about life over there. I'm sure we'll all have a lot more to share over the next 2 years too.

I agree. He handled himself very well and put a classy close to his election bid.

On the news last night, they said that the governor of DE would appoint Biden's successor to finish out his term when he announces that he is leaving the seat. That new Senator would serve until the next election in 2 years. (I think-it was late and I was tired)
