In all our DCL cruises we have not eaten at Palo for brunch or dinner. Can you only make 1 online reservation for each even for the longer cruises?


Since we are doing a 4 day next summer we are going to see if we can get brunch ressies to try it out.

Yup we did the EB Repo could only make 1 ressie for brunch & 1 for dinner On-Line

Once on the ship you cna make another, or get room service!

We had the party in a night club it was for the kids about 100 of them less than 40 adults.

It was last June the Social event of the year for the school!

We're on a countdown for our 1st of two !!!! Joshua is set for Saturday 18th July 2009 exactly 1 year before our cruise PG we're going to have a black tie dinner and dance on the sunday evening for 120 people at The London Aquarium, of that 120, about 40 are going to be kids. Ethans follows about 2 years later and I can't begin to think about that just yet. I think I'll wait until after Josh's and then see what the caterer can come up with for another cool venue, maybe the film studios where they do the filming for James Bond and Indiana Jones as that's quite near us.

I spoke to DCL today. They confirmed that they have our fax for the Palo brunch. They'll assign the room somewhere around 25-30 days before the cruise, but she said it was on a first come-first served basis. She also said that have received 3 requests so far. So to me, that means we should have it, but she did say that it's only a request. So that means we should all book Palo brunch ressies to be safe in case we don't get the room.

As an FYI, if you're interested, you can request the dining room for a group Palo dinner too.

Well given that there are 4 sea days and there are 3 requests in and we've got 2 of them I'd say there was a pretty good chance we've got two of the 4 brunches available

Yes, just one of each in advance -- then you can call Palo or stop by while on the ship and see if they can wait list you for a second time -- you would have more of a chance with dinner (every night) than brunch (just sea days).

Room service from PALO is a treat for those in cat 1 and 2 -- the rest of us make do with regular room service (which is still pretty darn great).

Thanks again for your work, Mike -- if they have received three requests, it does sound as though we will get one of the sea days. Did they tell you when you need the reservation numbers? Is that when they call you with the date just before the cruise?

Ah, JoAnn, she may not want to remember that. hence the sticking to the cheese reference. Which brings up a point, when DH was about 11, his dad was taking him and his brother fishing. So on the way to the lake, they stopped at a store. My FIL asked DH (Steve) to run in and get some cheese for bait. - Anyone want to guess what he got?

DH just laughs at that to this day. Although I'm not a big fishing fan but even I know you don't use that!

Given that I'm logged onto the boards for about 15 - 16 hours a day (I know what a "saddo") and I've got the vast majority of you lot listed in my buddy list It's really funny watching everyones little green light going on and off all day as people pop in. I feel as though I'm holding a general open house coffee morning all day and all my friends are coming over to my house to visit...stupid really I know
