Can everyone please look over their info in the first post and PM me if any corrections need to be made. Also, if you are new to our group and your info is not listed in the first post please PM me so I can add that.
I'm trying to help out Julie with keeping the first post up to date.

Also to remind everyone to let Celestine and myself know if you would like to be included in the FE exchange and/or the hometown postcard exchange. Celestine is in charge of the FE exchange, you can PM her with your info and we'll also include your name on the list in the first post. I'm in charge of the hometown postcard exchange and you can PM me with your info and your name will also be included on the list in the first post.

thanks
:)

My nieces' ages are wrong. Rheanna is 11 and Shelby is 8. I'm #33:)

So do you think about $50 a country is a good amount for essentials?:confused3

That's what I brought last time for the 3 of us for the cruise ports and it worked out for the little things. This was good for picking up a quick snack or little souvie, such as a postcard, at the small stands. I also used my credit card for larger purchases - I have a credit union card that does not charge the foreign currency fees.
I took extra euros and pounds, because I knew if we had any leftover we will eventually be going back to Europe to use them up. I actually did come home with some of each.

Ok I'll change it.

Too funny....when I first read this, I thought you were also telling me your age was wrong and that you are 33. :rotfl2: My first thought was you and your DD had kids at a super young age since I know you are taking your DGD with you. :rotfl2: :confused3 :headache: :grouphug: :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

As we all know, someone's loss is someone else's gain. DH just came home today and announced that he wants to purchase euros and pounds tomorrow as he has also heard what Andrew has been saying, now is a good time for us Yankees to buy (sorry my friends across the pond). So now we just have to figure out how much. We bought some when it went down in the fall, but will buy more just to be on the safe side.

Quick question, will they take Euros in Russia or should we buy Rubles? I guess they would gladly take Euros or dollars but what is everyone else planning on doing?

The Euro is at an all time low against the dollar, re Greece, and the pound is at a low as well. So make you mind up times.

I am glad I paid up in advance as we will have a bumpy ride to May and the Election.

Without going into details:-

Can everyone send JULIE some Pixie Dust and wish her all the best......

It will be nice for her to know we are thinking of her.

UK General Election must be held soon, for Parliament, and thats all MP's and therefore also maybe a new Prime minister, until then (most likely first week in May) pond will be volatile as know one knows who will be in power or even a hung parliament.

However soon after that we will boost out of recession quickly confidence is high so the Pound will be back, one commentator said we might go as low as $1.30, I do not think so, in fact slight bounce today, but volatile till May.

Danish Kroner..........Rate .1945.....150 DKK......$29.18

Eur is bouncing back today.
