:lmao::lmao::lmao: Not sure what you meant by the Tortola reference until I looked at your tag:lmao:

I don't post much on the main board anymore so I'm guessing that is the reason why I don't have a tag yet:confused3

I was just remembering my own days as a lurker and how glad I was that I started posting. My fear of missing out overcame my shyness;)

Sometimes its the luck of the drawer, when the TF will call, I haven't seen her for a while or any reference so perhaps she is busy on another board.

She liked our 7/28/2007 Med cruise thread and many there got a Tag,

I must be out of favour, mine was updated every year!!!!

I have been posting on this forum since 2002 and still have yet to get a tag:guilty: Like Mike said before I think I have tag fairy repellent:rolleyes:

:cloud9:
LOL I totally agree! With over 2000 posts you would think I've said something even slightly clever!

Have not seem anything of late about the tag fairy either so maybe she's on vacation or retired:laughing:

Oh I ran across Laura (eeyoreluver?) on facebook. While she is canceling a cruise -it is not this one and she intends to be back here after Valentine's day when things slow down for her.
Thought I'd pass that on.

When I first read this I thought you said you 'ran over Laura'. :confused3 :rotfl2: No clue why I thought that's what I read.

Hello everyone. Sorry we haven't posted in a while but things have been kind of hectic around here. Have started looking at port adventures. We can book on 4/4. Sarah came up with a great idea at Christmas. She gave us a gift certificate for a wine tasting from countries we would be visting. We did Germany last weekend. I bought a couple of books on London today. We sent in for the Lion King show in London.

:woohoo:T.G.I.F.:woohoo:
:sad2:However I have a busy weekend full of family chores:sad2:

:lmao: That would be one long distance running over!
:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: That's what made it even weirder, they don't even live on the same coast. :confused3

If only that were the case. I guess it's all the snow/blizzard talk that made me bonkers. :dance3:

Have you been to the supermarket lately? A madhouse!!
The meat area was almost cleared out as was the bread shelves.
I left plenty of milk behind and did not take more than 1 container of ice melt for the driveway.

We are set though:goodvibes

There will probably wine tastings on the ship that include wines from the ports too:thumbsup2

Other than Denmark we are planning on sticking with the partial day city tours so that we have partial days to explore on our own and experience the culture. Denmark we are looking at doing the countryside castle tour. Don't know the exact tours we are thinking of yet - still waiting on everyone to finish reading through them all and ranking their personal preferences. Not sure what the rest of the family is planning for Berlin but DW, DD and I are probably just going to do the Steam Train and explore the port city area rather than try to do the frantic trip into Berlin.

The big thing we are trying to figure out is when to take our 6 year old off for the tours and when to just let her stay in the kids club. We ARE going to splurge and take her to the Royal Ball at St. Catherine's Palace. DD gets motion sick and we pushed her past her limit on the Med cruise with the tours so we are trying to be careful this time around so she doesn't get sick all over grandma again on a bus. Thankfully the boat doesn't bother her at all.

On a non-trip note...

Woke up this morning to the house being 50 degress from the heater going out overnight. That was fun. Thankfully they were able to get it fixed within a couple of hours.

For a family with young kids half day tours are logical, and yes this and 'Med' cruises are more an endurance test, and sightseeing, and far less the relaxing cruise holiday. Kids bounce back quickly, the good schedule is that there are sea days in between, so for Berlin there is crash out time the next day.

The royal ball will be a once in a lifetime event, she will remember so go for it.

My kids were 7 and 11 in the Med they did 5 private tours, in 7 ports and DCL tours in the other, all long day ones and apart from a lay in on a sea day they were fine and really got a lot of education out of it.

I will have

OSLO Its either full day or half day.
COPENHAGEN Half day, can extend ourself DYI
BERLIN Full day.
Rest day
ST PETES Half day/ Full day.
TALLINN Half day or full day
STOCKHOLM Full day
Sea days for rest.

And very messy too;)

Well it was just started snowing here within the last couple of minutes. :sad1: :scared1:  :headache: :sad2: :sad1: :scared:

I don't go to the grocery store before snow storms. Actually, DH works at one so I get to hear how much stuff people buy before a storm. It really is amazing what people will buy when they think they will be shut in the house for a couple of days. :confused3 He'll drive in just about any kind of weather so if we need something he'll pick it up when he goes to work in the snow.
