I am meeting with the in-laws on the 15th to work some plans. I had sent the original itinerary to them and my sil thought it looked good. I just added the boat trip last time I contacted Anastasia. So let me make sure they want to do the boat too and that would be fine with me to share a boat.

Let me know what they say and we'll share the boat if possible.

I rec'd back my revised (once again) itinerary and it looks good to me. Just have to check with the friends to make sure it's fine with them. We are doing very different things this time: Constantine's Palace, Peter and Paul Fortress, last 1800's warship that is docked on the Neve River and the Military Armory Museum. DD is extremely excited about the military museum.

We'll take snacks with us and see if we have time to also stop for a local snack the first day. The 2nd day we have lunch scheduled in but no place in mind to eat. I'm hoping to go to the Stolle Pie Shop again or something along those lines.

I've been lurking around here for a while. You've all provided VERY valuable information during this planning stage.

I've been able to secure a booking with TJ Travel in St. Petersburg, and have found a good amount of info. about the HOHO buses and city cards for the rest of the ports. I think we are just going to wander around Warnemunde instead of heading over to Berlin.

Now that our St. Petersburg planning is done, the only other major thing we need to plan is our two days in London and getting to Dover (already e-mailed Celestine about the bus).

Bridget

Hi Bridget:yay:

We're also planning on 2 days in London prior to the cruise:thumbsup2

The hard thing is trying not to plan too much for London as I am not sure how much sleep we will get on the plane or how much jet lag we'll have:upsidedow

We will probably fly in the night of the 15th and spend the 16th and 17th in London. So far planning on the London Eye for the first day (16th) and Tower of London the second (17th). I'll add on more depending on how we feel.
We may be sleeping on the bus the morning of the 18th:laughing:

At least you've looked for it, I was by Barnes & Noble last night and forgot to look for it.
I went to Barnes & Noble after work just to look for it. Of course I couldn't remember if it was Rick Steves' Baltic or what? I just knew it was Rick Steves'. I was hoping it would jump out and me and it didn't! Came home, looked here at the thread and then looked at both B&N's and Borders web sites. Both say out of stock for all surrounding stores, which makes me believe it hasn't even come in yet.

Amazon is probably your fastest route then:hug:

Do you want me to look up something specific:confused3

No, I just want what everyone else has!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: This is the funniest thing I've read all day.
BUT....you better watch out, you might be getting a bunch of kids and DH's sent to you. That way you can have what we all have, but it's a no return policy. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:) Glad you liked it!
I already have kids and a DH. so I don't need those! Just a Rick Steves' Scandinavia book!

Mine came last week from Amazon.com for $17.95.

Good Morning Robert and all Ballyhooers! (even you lurkers! ;))

Everyone can rest a little easier now, I ordered THE BOOK!!!! :cool1::banana::dance3::cheer2: Barnes & Noble seems to be able to send it to me if I order it online! I did it last night and they are shipping it out today! I will update here when it actually shows up at our house!

Yeah Caro, you are getting your book. :woohoo: I guess now I HAVE to have one too.

'Morning all
Snow here as well. Less than 2 inches and school was on time so it wasn't too bad. Now they are calling for more snow Fri. night and Sat. and it could be several inches. Just hoping if it does decide to snow tht it gets over with and everything is cleared up by Sun. night since we fly down to FL Mon. morning.

Forgot about that. Did they get back to you like they said they would?

Count us in-DH loved the video:laughing:

Ellissa got back to me straight away. They haven't confirmed the summer times yet, but 1130am is most likely time to depart. The difference between DCL & doing it this way (other than cost) is not stopping at a viking ship play area, an ice cream & transport to the start - I think I can live with that!!!

Celestine

Bit more info.

Berlin meet time for train is 7.15am.

Kids clubs will open just before that.

DCL's agents have hired / chartered the train, not a scheduled service.

Us too

Thanks!!

:wave2:Good Morning All:wave2:
I have decided that we are going to take it easy on this cruise and with the exception of STP try to avoid full day touring!
