:cold: :goodvibes Happy Monday All :goodvibes :cold:
at least it stopped snowing!:dance3:

Morning to you and everyone else.

At least your snow stopped, now if we could get these winds to stop we would be in good shape.

Then don't start so many threads and there won't be so much work to do. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Just checked and Tallinn has the same info the other ports do.
BTW...the 2nd sailing does go to Tallinn. The rotation is Helsinki, Tallinn, Helsinki, Tallinn.

Warnemunde does not have the same info under port adventures so my guess is they are doing it alphabetically and it will be changed within the hour.

Works for me! :woohoo::woohoo:pirate:

Someone has already started another thread, on the same thing, repeating my posts on Sunday, maybe can be merged.

Anyway, I think I started three threads in 2009, and they all got more than 30,000 views, 'big hitters''.

All the shore trips pages, for the ports of call on our cruise have been swapped back pre Sunday now. There was a different page on Sunday on all bar Tallinn, which I didn't see changed.

Maybe a release a bit to early as there has been issues this weekend on the website, we saw this before with the 7 night Med cruises, it was changed, reported here, and then swapped back.

As only the last two cruises go to Tallin, I guess we might have that release dealyed by 24 days.

Just think if you got royalties for those thread's Andrew, why it could pay for your cruises!:happytv::lmao::rotfl2:;):rotfl::3dglasses:rolleyes::laughing:

Just came accross some interesting analysis from a non-Disney person on a website I frequently read. Mark Rosewater is the head designer for a trading card game called Magic the Gathering and he recently went on his first Disney cruise with his family. Here are some of his comments. I like seeing the occasional "outsiders" view to allow me to know that I am not completely brainwashed :) Sorry if this isn't really the place for it but I figured if I found it interesting some of you might also.

Lesson #1 – Know Your Audience
In the end, we found only two cruise lines that seemed to cater at all to families: Disney and a cruise line I'll call Cruise Line X. (This was several years ago, so there is some chance some other cruise has stepped up to the task.) Disney was a little pricier, so we opted for Cruise Line X. All in all, we had a good time. I felt Cruise Line X did a decent job providing for families. That is, until I took a Disney cruise.

Lesson #2 – Have Something for Everyone Inside Your Target Audience
To Cruise Line X, a kid was a kid. They treated them as a single commodity. Disney divided up children into six age groups (0-2, 3-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, and 14-17), each with their own play space, their own counselors, and their own schedule. The activities that Adam and Sarah (age 5) participated in were completely different from the ones Rachel (now 8) attended. The ship also had activities for the parents, including areas on the ship where children weren't allowed. In addition, there were activities planned for families with the intent that the parents would participate in them with their kids. For example, Sarah and I competed as a team in a Disney trivia game show. (We would have won if we only knew Donald Duck's middle name—Fauntleroy, if you're interested.) The point here is that part of what made the cruise such a pleasant experience is that they anticipated our needs as a family and then provided them understanding that different members would require different things.

Lesson #3 – Understand Your Brand
Disney has worked hard to play up its key brand points: 1) It is family friendly, 2) It is customer-service-oriented, and 3) It provides the upmost of quality. The cruise did nothing but reinforce each of those points.

Lesson #4 – The Details Matter
Every night, when our steward would turn down our room, he would leave little chocolates on our pillow. The chocolates had a picture of Sleepy (from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs). The sign in the bathroom asking you to reuse your towels to help cut down on pollution and preserve the ocean had Ariel from The Little Mermaid on it. The French restaurant on the ship was called Lumiere's after the animated candelabra in Beauty and the Beast. The whistle they used when they needed to make a ship-wide announcement was the first few bars to "When You Wish Upon a Star," Disney's theme song. Disney never missed a beat to instill Disney wherever they could. That dedication to their theme strongly contributed to the overall effect of the cruise. The cruise made you feel a part of something bigger and it was very comforting.

Lesson #5 - Find Solutions for Problems, Not Reasons
The ship has three restaurants (actually many more than that if you count all the different places on the ship to get food, but three main dining areas for dinner). The way dining works is that you rotate what restaurant you are in each night, but your wait staff and dinner companions always move with you. The first night I was in Lumiere's, I was served a Coke. Now, I'm a bit of a Coke snob, and I'm extra sensitive to fountain mixes of syrup and carbonation. The mix was off, and it was not enjoyable to drink. I reported this to the person who handled my drinks.

Within a minute I was talking to her boss, who was very interested in why I didn't like my Coke. Then within another minute I had a can of Coke and a glass of ice sitting in front of me. While they took their time investigating what was wrong, they wanted me to have a Coke that I was happy with. Once they realized that the problem was not something that could be fixed on the ship, they made sure that every time I ate in that restaurant all my Coke came from cans.

A common mistake in this circumstance would be to explain to me why the Coke tasted bad. That's a mistake because it wouldn't address my problem. I didn't really care why I didn't have the drink I wanted. I cared that I didn't have the drink. The staff was well trained to make me happy rather than provide me with answers about why I was unhappy.

Being someone whose never cruised with Disney before I found this very interesting to read- thank you for posting it!

I've been on Princess & Celebrity cruises, so it will interesting to compare first hand how Disney is to my other experiences.

WARNING:
You'll never go back to another cruise after traveling on DCL! :sail:
I've been on Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian, and a couple that haven't survived. After my first 3-day cruise with DCL, I have not considered another cruiseline.

Great pictures Robert! Glad you were able to stay warm. It really looked like a cold day.
Sorry about all the snow you guys are having. We are going back up to the high 70's again. I really would enjoy some winter here.
I have been down and out with a cold that will not go away:sick:. My husband has had it for two weeks now and it just won't go away. I also started physical therapy for my foot. That is coming along faster than I thought. I hope to start up on the treadmill in another week or so.

Getting excited Andrew! I know you will be the first to share when the shore trips come in!

Checking back in after being gone for a week trip to WDW. It was our first during the holidays...it was a nice one time experience, but I won't go back with those crowds. We wanted to see it once during the holidays, and being married to a teacher our time was limited to the prime week between Christmas and New Years. We did all the special things and saw the decorations. That was all great.

Crowds were horrible, wait times on popular attractions were 2 to 3 hours long. Fortunately we were just there in July, so we focused on some tours and cruises which got us away from the crowds.

The weather was "unseasonably cold". Just when we were looking to some sun and warmth! At least it was still better that the bitter cold we came back to in Minnesota.

Called DCL today to check on stateroom placement. They mentioned that they had a cat 3 in a guarantee status. They must be assuming that some are going to drop out of the suites.

Andrew...Andrew...Andrew....they rotate Helsinki and Tallinn, they do not do Helsinki twice and then Tallinn twice: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/c...s/12-night-northern-european-capitals-cruise/
June 12 Helsinki
June 24 Tallinn
July 6 Helsinki
July 18 Tallinn

Tallinn was updated around 7pm so you wouldn't have seen it Sun. night.

So where and when are you going? Inquiring minds want to know.

DH & I stayed at GC in a concierge room for a night back in '03. We really liked staying there and everyone was so nice to us. They messed up our ressie and our room was not ready for hours and the poor gal at concierge felt sorry for us, we had just flown in from Australia, and she refunded the concierge fee. Then once she looked up our ressie she saw that I was a CM and on a CM rate and told us that we just got a really good deal on the concierge room. We still keep in touch with one of the concierge CM's that was working.
I wish I knew when and where we were going! We have a room booked at Animal Kingdom Villas the end of March, but probably won't go. Air fare is too high even with our vouchers. I also would have a hard time getting the time off. Planning meeting friends down at WDW(hopefully Treehouses) next Christmas.
We could of upgraded to Concierge for our nights at the Grand Californian, but 150.00/night was a little steep.

I've never been on any other cruise line than DCL, but this really summed it up for me as to why I like them so much!

DH has already said he's taking off the week between Christmas and NYE's so we will be down there then. He wishes he had done it this year, but decided against it since he took the week last year. He didn't want to push his luck and make grown men cry, since he takes every Easter week off, so he let another man with less seniority have the week off.
A small trade off to have Easter week off every year for the next couple of years.

We had a small problem with iced tea on the MR cruise we took in 2005, the first night several people ordered iced tea and it came out looking like dish water. They all said something to the asst. server and then the head server came over to find out what he could do to make them all happy. Every night after that they had their own pitcher of tea brewing at the server's station and everyone was happy.
We were on the Carnival Baltics cruise and very weak iced tea was served to DH, he made a comment to the asst. server and he had no idea what to do and never even bothered to figure anything out. DH finally just asked for a cup of tea and a glass of ice to make his own, but even then they couldn't get that right every night. So he just made his own iced tea before coming to dinner and brought it with him. Never saw the head server at our table the entire 12 nights.
So the same problem on 2 cruise lines with totally different outcomes. DCL wins hands down on this one.

Nope, we come home on the 11th. Sorry we won't be able to have lunch again.

When they are up they are up I cannot book the shore excursions untill March 20th!popcorn::

Plenty of time for research & decisions!:surfweb::banana:
Wow...words of wisdom from a man and they make sense. :rotfl2: :upsidedow :lmao:
Even if they are posted in 2 weeks that still gives plenty of time for research and decision making.

I asked my TA about this and she said there aren't any cat. 3's available and if one was available it wouldn't be in a GTY status since they only assign them. She said she did know they have some new CM's so it could be you got one that was confused and gave out info that shouldn't have been given out. She also checked my waitlist status and said I'm still on it and have been for quite some time.
