:cold: Good Morning All :cold:
Picking up my winter classic tickets today!:thumbsup2
GOOD MORNING TO ALL ALSO!!!
How do you play hockey on a baseball field?

We are have a great time at Disneyland! It's busy, busy, busy, but we expected that. Weather is nice, mid 60's during the day. We're going to the Rose Parade on New Years Day!

Sounds busy and fun. Much better than being at home. :woohoo:

Remember with our Mediterranean Cruise there was a drop off of people when the final payment came due and a lot of people changed catagories.
There was a little drop off and my observation some but not a lot of people chaniging to Cat 12 as they were released, of those few who did it I remember some dissapointment they got the Cat 12, as they thought they would be upgraded.
Our 7/28 cruise was full re UK school holidays.

But take your point as I think there is a higher chance of drop off on the Baltics due to the cost.
Did that include the fuel surcharge I think we have all had included? We are cat11 and this price is pretty much identical to ours booked on day 1, but we had a 10% onboard discount, but without it this is what it would workout at. I think this may exclude the fuel surcharge which admittedly we may only get back as OBC, if at all. Has anyone been watching the fuel prices recently?

Celestine

Website price, your question has been answered above.

Good Afternoon All, as I have taken the very lazy approach to the morning!

I agree with Andrew on the Mediterranean Cruise with the changes, but this one being a bit more money may make a difference at final payment time to some people.

Maryann said we were going to see about getting a bus for our transportation to the port. Since I have been out of the loop for so long, could someone advise me so I may see if I have made the proper hotel choice. Also, what about after the cruise? I am truly your lost sheep, in more ways that one.:sad1: I need all the help I can get. Thank you very much!

What hotel are you in?

Baltic, we will sail full, and yes I expect some last minute cancellations re PIF and the cost, but they will be replaced, in fact DCL has overbooked the cruise, it always tries to, thats what GTY Guarantee status is. I actually feel there will be disappointed people out there who cant get on, with only four cruises, when shore trips come out, it will tempt people and also when the first Baltic shows its photos and navigators the last minute crew will try to book, and wont get on. (There is always a significant number of people who book last minute, either for work/holiday reasons getting time off, or getting a bargain).

I just wanted to say a quick hi. I haven't been on this thread in months but we are still going to be on the cruise---I have been trying to keep up on our cruise meets from our Dec 2009 cruise and Jan 2010 cruise and unfortunately let this one slide a bit. I'll be reading the posts to try and catch up and see what everyone's plans are for the trip. We still need to book our flights and secure a hotel stay in England. Right now we have DCL transfers booked but would be willing to switch to save $. I think we'll be flying in to England about 4 days early.

I hope everyone had a great holiday and Happy 2010!

Danielle

Yup Friday or Saturday if rain!:scared1:

If you build it they will come!:lmao:

We've seen the ice sculptures being carved out for this. The hockey player one is really cool (no pun intended). Of course the Philly company that is doing them has taken more time to do the Flyers logo than the Bruins logo, that is their words not mine.

Send a PM to Celestine with your hotel info to be added to the bus roster.

Are you coming home after the cruise or staying in London? I think she is also setting up buses to the airports and back into the city but I may be mistaken about the latter. We are flying home the day they kick us off the ship. :sad1:

Send a PM to Celestine to get the info on the bus transfers she is setting up for us. They will be about a third of the cost of DCL transfers.

I know you might have seen it, but thoose of you flying out the day we come back to Dover, allow plenty of time, some cruises due to tide restrictions at Dover, will not disembark until 9.30am. I think we are still 8am but its been changing a lot.

Next due to the current security scare the embarkation security at airports has increased by an hour, ensure you allow three hours for security, you will need all of that.

Thanks for the reminder Andrew.
Our last cruise we arrived at the airport at 10:15 for a 4:00 flight. We had to sit with our bags until 1:00 since we couldn't check them in until 3 hours before our flight. We didn't mind it too much since we knew we were at the airport and not sitting on the roadway somewhere wondering if we will make our flight.

Thanks for the info. I will do that. We are planning one extra day stay because we cannot get a flight back before 1:00.
What hotel are you in?

We are staying at the Sheraton Park Tower Hotel, coming in three days before the cruise and one night after.

Sounds like you are having a great vacation! ENJOY

I am sure you are right about the limit issue.

So glad to see you are back on the Boards, Harole Ann!!!!!!!

Can't wait to plan the shore trips. Tom and I are returning to the states the same day but taking the redeye on Wed. night to spend a few days before in London. Helen & Dave said they would meet us for dinner in London on Sat. eve. We've got a lot to plan!!!!

Thanks to all who posted about the fuel surcharge. I'm lucky if I can remember what happened last month, let alone last year, however have put June 17 in my planner to see what the oil is doing that day to see whether I get any $$$ back - I can but hope.

Celestine

Do you think that is why we are getting a $200 per person credit? To alleviate hard feelings for those that booked early about the fuel surcharge or because they are lowering prices???? Maybe this was addressed before, but like Celestine, I can't remember what I did yesterday!

I think the credit is an incentive to keep us booked and to avoid the last minute cancellations just before the PIF date.
