Laurie - I hope the surgery went well

Andrew - did you see that WDW has twinned itself with Swindon - the land of the Magic Roundabout! The news report said there will be something in Epcot next year on itI'm guessing none of the top Disney execs have actually been (although I can't knock the outlet mall)

STill suffering with jetlag but have no time to suffer - Hermione needed me to complete her Mary outfit, Lauren wants a Dorothy outfit for their Xmas lunch as the theme is Wizard of Oz (at least her summer uniform was blue gingham, but now she'll need new summer dresses). I have my MRI on Thursday & my mock bookkeeping exam next week

I'll try & surf backwards to see what I missed last week (not the weather, obviously!)

Well, I do recall the kids wanted to see Australia. It's a very long flight, but two things to keep in mind:

Australia has a very nice rail system if you don't want to fly everywhere within the country.

There are some very nice smaller cruises like these: http://www.coralprincess.com.au/

A 50-75 passenger vessel is a very different experience, but the level of personal service can't be matched by even Disney.

Its an option we have a funny early two week Easter break in 2011, so possible.

Australia is a beautiful country as I travelled three times as I have family live there...

but 2 weeks not enough, need more than 2 weeks like 3-4 weeks for Australia as long journey. but it is worthing to visit it.... I want go back in 2011 but sadly my husband is not keen on it... One day we will be back to Australia...

I am so sorry that Disney Cruise suspended abour your cruise for 2011 which sound not very nice... as they will refund to your deposit too?

I have been given very limited information, now I am told DCL will NOT hold me to my Cat 3 deposit, ''if and when'' they change the 7/30/2011, but the if and when is funny as my online ressies have changed!!! (By DCL).

Ok I get information back from DCL re my Med 2011 cruise every so often the week they said ''if and when' they change it they will allow my money back,

My first visit there was a 3 week trip a long time ago - for the World Expo in Brisbane. Spent a bit over a week in Sydney/Melbourne and Alice Springs, then 4 or 5 days at the expo, then a week on a 50 person Catamaran out near Hamilton Island and the reef. Was an amazing trip.

Wow, that was my first visit to Sydney then my family took me to Expo 88 in Brisbane for 3 days, I love it... also we went to Great Barrier Reef for a week I try to think what name of place... we visited Hamilton Island for the day by boat and I like that place... It was my best 6 weeks holiday...

Sorry, just realized he missed here
He had to drive back to the hospital Monday night to get the cpap we left there. Wound up not needing the cpap at the hospital, but they insisted we bring it Not a short trip either
Surgery went well otherwise
A little dizzy and off the heavy duty pain meds-just taking motrin now.

On another note. I just got home from the doctor and I have another week of no weight on my foot ahead of me. I would not make a good invalid! I so am ready to get up and moving.

Yes, it was harder for us when our daughter went throught the operation, I almost pull her out... and hospital offer us another implant cochlear on another side for my daughter, we don't think we go through again... but daughter said no... she is happy with one...

Yes the bilateral implants are starting to get popular here. I am posting on the Cochlears America forum now-full of people who either went through the surgery already or are waiting for it. Helped me so much as far as what to expect from the surgery. I am in no rush to get my other ear implanted. Hard to imagine but some people get both ears done at the same time.
