Yes, someone dropped the ball at Disney marketing not to have figured that out for 2005:confused3

Only a few more days until your vacation, Andrew!:cool1: Be sure and give us a review of your cat 3 when you get back.

Looking at the phots and 360 views of the Cat 3 on the official website it looks very good!

Hello, my family and I are onboard for the Baltic Ballyhoo! My daughter, turning 14 on July 25 2010. My mother and my father, my name is Sharon. We will have a fish extender up. Just dropped by to say Hello

WELCOME!!!

Yes the timetable is like this:-

  • Three nights at the Contemporary resort,-MK/Tower room.
  • -I plan to visit only MK from there as its a walk.
  • Seven Nights Eastern cruise with Tortola.
  • 10 Nights private Villa, thats near Formosa gardens about 5 mins from the 192 Maingate WDW entrance.
  • We have 21 night WDW passes, so I will go back and do the other WDW Theme parks then.

We also have Discovery cove booked for the 23rd, the Sunday after the cruise ends and I intend to use the 'Seaworld' option on this.

The idea this way around is I do not loose the last day of the holiday, if the cruise ends the day of the flight I waste a day at MCO Hyatt, also USA school kids tend to go back earlier than us, but WDW have free dinner plan then to I presume that counter acts on that.

The parks are less of a priority this time, I think we will go in early but might leave early and go back to the villa, it could hold 12 people there are just us 4 in it.

Flying Virgin this time, as booked a flydrive with Virgin holidays to include the car insurance and park tickets.

When do you go????

Sounds wonderful! This is the first time we have cruised that we will not do any theme parks -- my oldest daughter has an internship and can't take too much time off (after our big blow out trip earlier in the summer!). So we fly out the morning of the 28th, spend that afternoon/evening/night at the MCO Hyatt, head to the port for the 7 day cruise, then fly back the day we get back into PC (September 5). The girls start school September 9.

This will be the first time we have purchased the DCL transfers and plan to let them handle the luggage, print out boarding passes onboard, etc. We usually rent a car, or do a car service, but this is such a simple trip I thought I'd try to make everything as simple as possible. Our ports will all just involve heading to the beach and relaxing!:goodvibes

Wow, both of these itineraries look wonderful!!! I'm sure you both will have a great time!!!

Hmmmm, I was realllllly hoping for Greece, either with a cruise of ABD for 2012. Well, I guess we'll just have to wait a month or so to see what 2011 offers and then take it from there. DH still wants to do the Peru ABD in 2011 (ho-hum for me but I'll go, of course) but extended family is talking about doing a Disney cruise for 2011 so we'll see about that, too. All you need it time and money!!!!

Of course it is!:thumbsup2 But it would still be nice to get a first person account!

Hi MaryAnn! It will be interesting to see what Disney has to offer for 2011, won't it?

Little Mermaid fans...it's devastating...but the little mermaid statue won't be in Copenhagen for our cruise. Below is an exert taken from the Copenhagen Tourism Website. :sad1:

"For 95 years she has sat on her stone at Langelinie in Copenhagen Harbour, where she has received visits from around the world. But now it is the ageing lady's turn to take a little trip abroad. When the World EXPO is held in Shanghai in 2010, it will be with The Little Mermaid as a main attraction. The Little Mermaid will be gone from April - November. While she is away, visitors to Copenhagen will be able to experience a Chinese reinterpretation of her at Langelinie."

I hope she has a wonderful trip...but I will miss her.

WELCOME!!!

:thumbsup2 We will see what we can do, currently packing.

OK, so if DCL is trying to tie up with other products, what is the chances of a cruise around far east to tie in with Tokyo or Hong Kong?

I had read that as well . . . pretty funny that when Disney, whose animation department was revitalized by the Little Mermaid, can't even ensure that the darn statue is there when we finally get the Disney Magic there!:sad2:

I've wondered about that for a while -- I would be super-interested in that . . .

I think its a case of ''when'' not ''if''.

  • Links in with the parks.
  • Lots of cruisers on DCL in Med and USA from far East.
  • Wonder can make it from LA via Hawaii
  • New ships cant go till 2015 via Panama.

So, when???????:confused3

Can the new ships go through the Panama canal? I thought even the Wonder and Magic were "Panamax" and barely made it . . .

Yes there is an extra chanel being dug now, actually on our Panama crossing last year if you were port side you saw it. It will take the newer wider ships, but will take to 2015 to complete.

Hmm, I was on port side! Maybe since I didn't have your experience of having seen it in 2005 I didn't notice the new channel . . .

At each of the three locks there was construction work, it was a little back from our bit, If you go to the official website for PC, they have more info and graphics.

I at first thought this had to be a joke- I'll finally get to Copenhagen and she won't be there? So I googled it and of course, it is true!:sad2:

Now if we get to St. Petersburg and the Peter The Great statue is on loan somewhere I'm having a fit!

Wow! Found us on the second page!

Good morning, everyone!:goodvibes

Shouldn't we be finding out soon? Andrew, did you say some sort of announcement about something Sept. 10????? Maybe that will be it.

I guess we'll have to make due with the Mermaid statue by the entrance door to BCV.
