I use IE and was finally able to see the new site last night. So it does work with other browsers.
I just read that someone was having an issue using their MAC's tho.

I use a MacBook Air so it's not Macs that are the problem . . .

After trying a number of Internet 'back doors' I have been able to view most of it, but it regularly defaults back to WDW UK website, I have seen my 2009 and 2010 reservation pages now on the new site, its like the USA WDW site, but they have blocked the protocols for UK, whether this is because they are in a testing stage, or deliberate to bar us I do not know.

For example if in the UK you type WDW you always automatically get our UK WDW site, you have to input the exact http:// address for the USA to get that.

Annoying sometimes!

Next week I am moving off ADSL to Fibre optic cable connection which will be at least 3 times faster, not sure if I will get through to USA sites on that.

That really is annoying . . .:sad1:

I'm glad Andrew is having a good time. What a great opportunity for him!

Wonderful! This is a tremendous opportunity for him:thumbsup2 How much longer until he comes home?

He called again today. Today he and his friend went swimming off the coast of Capri. He said that Pompeii was great yesterday. We missed his call yesterday as I had to go into the office for a meeting.
This is sooo good for him. He was getting rather depressed before this trip-he doesn't fit in socially very well with his age group. He's very shy and his sense of humor is a bit different from his peers so he has been a bit lonely of late.
He comes home on Darren's b-day (8/03) so I nagged him to remember to get his Dad a b-day present. He takes after his Dad though in that they both hate shopping or buying gifts:rolleyes:

I checked out the new DCL website-it seemed to work for me:confused3
I know when they upgrade computer applications at work there are always a few glitches in the begining. I'm sure they will have it working for everyone soon.

Sounds like he is having a great time. :woohoo:

Since I have not had the time to catch up on reading this THREAD from #1 want to thank jilljill for posting all the information for us newbies to this thread.
I will start reading tomorrow, my day off of work.

As far as I know its only Disney who do this, they block the WDW USA site from the UK, and the browser automatically redirects you to the WDW UK site it is very annoying, i hope this doesn't mean they are doing this on the DCL website.

IE if you want to book ADR's online, you try the US website, the UK one will not do it, but it often redirects back to the UK one, very frustrating, you can get around it if you get there and book mark that Http address.

Recently they have added a link saying VISIT USA site, that does help.

Swimming off the coast of Capri sounds pretty amazing right now! This is a wonderful experience (even if he does forget to get his dad a gift;)) and it will change his attitude about himself, I will bet, and give him more confidence.

A quiet day today here on our thread! JoAnn and MaryAnn should be getting back from their cruise tonight.

Tomorrow I am meeting a couple we know from our 2007 Med cruise, Helen and Dave from England, as well as JoAnn and Ken, and MaryAnn and Tom, for the matinee of "Wicked" and then going to an early dinner at Tavern on the Green afterwards . . . I will be sure to post a few pics afterwards!:goodvibes

I want to personally thank JoAnn and Maryann for coming down today and keeping the rain away. :woohoo: It was nice to see a day without rain, lightning and thunder for a change.

OMG, it was incredibly hot that day.........yikes........probably the hottest day ever for us in WDW in summer.........:scared:

I tried posting from the Wonder but only my post to Mike went through:confused3
Because of the Disney "stars" we were unable to get an upgrade to a cat 3:sad2:
We managed with the cat 11 that we had (7625) -nice location :goodvibes
Wouldn't want it for when we have the kids, but it was fine for 2 adults for 4 days.
Pikey was promoted from Bingo to Match your Mate:cool1:
We won $100 playing bingo:woohoo:
Had fun on the segway tours in Nassau:banana:
Missed our kids horribly:guilty:
Now Darren is umpiring a baseball tournament in Florida and I am back home with the kids.

So jealous.......I wish we had Pikey on the Magic this summer..........

Thx again Julie for all your organization of this "date" with Helen and Dave. Since I've double booked myself (I know, I'm losing it) Tara and Jeremy will either use the Wicked or the WSS tix tomorrow but just Ken and I will go to the Tavern after the show...........we can't wait, we staying over so it will be a nice little NYC trip. It was wonderful seeing Maryann and Tom on the cruise but we did not spend enough time together!!

Everyone who is sailing on the Magic this summer will have a blast! We just got back today and we did have a 'magical' time as usual! :cloud9:

So are you saying that you may not see us at Wicked but you would meet us at Tavern afterwards if you don't come to Wicked? :confused3 Our seats are all together at Wicked so I guess we will figure it out if Tara and Jeremy show up instead of you and Ken! Just remember the reservations are in my name so I think if you got to Tavern first you would have to wait for the rest of us.

Glad you had a wonderful cruise!:goodvibes

We had a couple more of those incredibly hot days this past week. :scared1:

Hi, Andrew - you too! I finished Torchwood, byt the way -- it was very good, but honestly I was surprised at how sad I was at the end!

Yes, I didn't want to give to much away, Cptn Jack looses his Grandson, thats a tearjerker, and Ijanto, there is a petition to get him back for Torchwood 4.

Maybe an announcement tonight from the SciFi convention in San Diego.

I know! I kept thinking Ianto wouldn't be gone for good -- and I thought the grandson would survive! I'm just a hopeless optimist, I guess, but I did feel very very sad at the end (despite the kids of the world surviving and Gwen being pregnant). Also it was really upsetting with the civil servant who ended up killing himself, his wife, and kids (and of course in the end the girls would have survived, but he didn't know that).

I will say hi to Helen, JoAnn, MaryAnn and spouses for you in a few hours!

Yes say Hi for me,

Its quite typical for the writer, to spring the surprises, its never 'happy ever after ' with him.
