Now I only need:-

  • Flight tickets
  • Car hire voucher
  • WDW hotel reservation tickets, bet that goes to will call.
  • WDW 21 night passes.

and pack.

And Tamiflu:mad:

For your WDW passes, isn't it cheaper to buy an annual pass for each of you? I know for us it's definately cheaper to buy the annual pass if going for more than 10 days. Plus you get the added benefit of some discounts - merchandise, dining and tours to mention a few.

We get special UK WDW passes which are far cheaper, we can request either 14 night or 21 night ones that give total flexibility, we can multi park on any day, water parks Disney quest, golf, transport etc, Now I booked these when the exchange rate was good and whilst they are priced in £, the cost is linked to the $ rate so they increased in price considerably, buy my tour operator locks in the price at booking.

Now we will be at the Contemporary for 3 nights, then the cruise then off-site 10 days, one of those is Discovery cove, maybe Sea-world as well as it comes with that.

But the cost of 21 nights, was equal to purchasing WDW Magic my way tickets for 3 nights only!!!

I did consider an AP, in the past, trying to go August year 1, and July year 2, to max out the benefit, but with trips to Europe and DL California it never worked out.

I've seen info about the UK passes in the past and realized they are a good deal for the UK'ers but didn't realize they were that good a deal.
Do the passes included parking at the parks as well? If it doesn't parking is now $12/day. When my brother paid to park at Epcot he was given a voucher to turn into a specific pin cart and could pick out a pin that was priced at either $6.95 or $9.95, I can't remember which. That made paying for parking a better value in his mind and he's right.

Have you done Discovery Cove before? We did in August of 2006 and it was one of our favorite days ever -- there's also something relaxing and cruise-like about it, with the all inclusive food and limited crowds. Make sure and spend the money for the photos - they make for souvenirs you never regret.

Have you guys checked out the new DCL site? It is really nice and much more sensible in the way it is laid out (including your booked cruise info).

No parking is excluded, however on my 'Contemporary' bit I will have normal free parking there, and only plan to do MK then, of course if i go valet that costs plus tip. Parking when I am at the villa offsit will be charged at the $12pd

The UK passes are a very very good deal, even if purchased now with the change of exchange rate.

Hope I get the PIN Voucher that sounds like a nice rebate.

I checked it out an hour ago when I saw that thread and personally didnt notice any difference at all, I will look again, maybe it went down, but it was the same as last week.

DCL WEBSITE

Well just looked again, and I cannot see any differences at all, A while back the Tortola cruise group lost some trips, 'the Baths' disappeared, and new ones came on, and I noticed the graphics I am seeing now at that time, the shore trips had, can I call them the UTUBE type pictures ,and cruise plans better layout, so unless my browser doesn't accept it, I think its been like that for a while.

Missed this before, trying to look for the invisible upgrades to the DCL website, I cannot see anything I haven't seen for weeks, Cleared cookies and browser, and its the same as it was in June or earlier, anyone seen Emperors new clothes?.
Anyway, Discovery cove never been before, we have with DCL gone swimming with Dolphins three times, Coz, Costa Maya and Acapulco all enjoyable, but DC had an age limit of 6 and last time we were there Stephen was under that, so its a first.

We have a private cabana as well there for the full day, so can keep out of the sunshine.

Andrew, try logging out and logging back on the DCL site -- that is when it changed for me. Or maybe they are just trying to ignore you:rotfl:

Look out for the butt!;)

Well, as Andrew would say, be sure to look out for the butt;) and there is that handy pause feature:goodvibes

I love my Tivo:love::love::love::love:

Lordy, lordy where is the tag fairy when you need her:laughing:

Hard not having him at home, but glad he went.

Wonderful! This is a tremendous opportunity for him:thumbsup2 How much longer until he comes home?

The new DCL site if finally working for me now. I tried several times this afternoon and, like Andrew, kept getting the old site. Now I'll have to poke around it and see if I like it or not. It can't be any worse than the old site.

OK I am still seeing the same DCL Website I saw a month ago, people on the main forum report seeing new gifts section, I reported on that in late April!!!

But either my internet connection is backward' here, or no one noticed the upgrades made in April.:confused3

No, it is different -- I was on quite a bit at the very end of May making my reservations for the end of summer cruise and it was the old site and now it is very different. What browser do you use? On the main forum someone was suggesting it only worked with Firefox, which is what I use:confused3:confused3

After trying a number of Internet 'back doors' I have been able to view most of it, but it regularly defaults back to WDW UK website, I have seen my 2009 and 2010 reservation pages now on the new site, its like the USA WDW site, but they have blocked the protocols for UK, whether this is because they are in a testing stage, or deliberate to bar us I do not know.

For example if in the UK you type WDW you always automatically get our UK WDW site, you have to input the exact http:// address for the USA to get that.

Annoying sometimes!

Next week I am moving off ADSL to Fibre optic cable connection which will be at least 3 times faster, not sure if I will get through to USA sites on that.

I use IE and was finally able to see the new site last night. So it does work with other browsers.
I just read that someone was having an issue using their MAC's tho.

I think its on ''test'' and awaiting the end of the trial before full release on all internet ISP's.

When you request a website it has a choice of routes, so for example if it sends out two requests for a website, the one that comes back the fastest for that site comes back via the ISP. now, if they limit the new website, you can sometimes be specific, and it comes back via a new route, thats why you can get it on some occassions and not others.
