Checking in, only 32c today, 33 tomorrow thats 45c on the tube.

You are warmer than we are here at WDW, it's been in the low 70's and storming all day. :scared1: It was warmer at 5:30am than it is now - yes I was up and moving at that time since I had to take DH to the airport to send him back home :sad1: .

So you havent been on the London Underground (Tube) in hot weather.

That beats Cabo any day.....

We are very humid at the moment so it feels worse, like Florida in August rather than dry heat of LA Disneyland and Cabo.

The Tube in hot weather is just horrible. Trying to find a pair of shorts in London or Stratford Upon Avon in August when it's in the low 90's is not a pleasant experience either.

Sounds like a personal problem to me!:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

It was when all I took was jeans and long pants. But DH had to listen to me whining that I was hot, he wasn't happy about that.

This is not my first cruise hanging out with DIS'ers. I'm just not as vocal! :confused3

I am booked on this cruise, as are my sister & sister-in-law, Mary and Sandy.
For those in the know, we three were on the FIRST TransAtlantic cruise to Barcelona. I was part of the departure banner team.
Mary & Sandy don't know I'm coming. I'm using DVC vacation points. Anyway, it's to be a big surprise to them. Even more surprising, I booked a cabin for myself. (3 adults in a cabin gets old) :dance3:

I live in Florida full-time, Mary & Sandy live in Rhode Island in the summer, Key West in the winter. They visit me on the way down and back.
I am "between" positions at the moment and studying for a degree in communication; Mary & Sandy are retired Navy medical types.
[OK, so I'm not 20-something] Let's just keep it friendly and call me a baby boomer and leave it at that. :hippie:

I thought that 13 months out was early; apparantly I forgot what DIS'ers are like!
I'll be lurking periodically and maybe asking a question or two from time to time.

Bye,

Hi Kathy, welcome to the gabbiest group ever!!:lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:
I too am a baby boomer travelling with my dh, our dgd, bil, sil and two nieces. We live in So. CA and will enjoy taking a vacation to a cooler climate in the middle of summer!
Pop in anytime you want we don't bite, but we can be a bit crazy!:lmao::banana::dance3::rotfl::dance3:

Andrew, is this you??? :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: I love it!!

Outside the Bristol Zoo, in England , there is a parking

Lot for 150 cars and 8 coaches, or buses.

It was manned by a very pleasant attendant with a

Ticket machine charging cars £1 (about $1.40) and

Coaches £5 (about $7).

This parking attendant worked there solid for all of 25

Years. Then, one day, he just didn't turn up for work.

"Oh well", said Bristol Zoo Management - "we'd better

Phone up the City Council and get them to send a new

Parking attendant . . . "

"Err . . . No", said the Council, "that parking lot is your

Responsibility."

"Err . . . No", said Bristol Zoo Management, "the

Attendant was employed by the City Council, wasn't

He?"

"Err . . . No!" insisted the Council.

Sitting in his villa somewhere on the coast of Spain

(presumably), is a man who had been taking the

Parking lot fees, estimated at £400 (about $560) per

Day at Bristol Zoo for the last 25 years. Assuming 7

Days a week, this amounts to just over £3.6 million

($7 million - or $280,000 every year for 25 years)!

And no one even knows his name.

Welcome Kathy. I'll add your info to the roster. As you can see, since we are on our 4th thread, we are a chatty bunch that doesn't bite. There is a ton of info in the 1st post that will be beneficial to your planning is you choose to use it. My family and I did a Baltics cruise last summer and we are very much looking forward to this oneas well.

We live in DE and part time in Windermere, FL. Unfortunately, we get to summer in FL due to DD's school schedule. We just bought a house down here in May and are really liking it here.

Pop in when you get a chance.
