OK, I leave at lunch to drive home. Luckily, we only live about 15 minutes away. I find the valentines in a zip-lock bag on the floor by the table.
Drive to school and the Office Manager tells me I'm a GOOD MOM!
She calls Kathryn to the office, Kathryn comes, tells me thank you and gives me a hug and a kiss!
The vice-principal sees Kathryn and is happy too! Once again, all is right in the 9yo world!
I forgot to tell you that after I had talked to Kathryn on the phone earlier, the office manager called. She wanted to know if Kathryn had access to the house. If she did, the VP would of driven Kathryn home to get the valentines. Apparently Kathryn was rather upset and tearful without her valentines.
So drive back to work after stopping at Subway to grab a sandwich! I'm pulling into the parking space at work and my phone rings. (and vibrates too!
) It's Kathryn in tears again.
She can't find her literacy folder and believes (OK, is POSITIVE) Andrew took it out of her backpack this morning when he was getting some papers. She says her teacher told her to call me. I tell her that it wasn't on the table at home with the papers. She is crying her eyes out because without the folder, she can't do a presentation with her literacy group. I tell her very calmly to look in her desk. She goes and looks and no, it's not there. She KNOWS Andrew took it out. I ask her to look in her backpack again. She does and comes back very happy. Hmm, literacy folder has magically appeared! She tells me she's sorry. I calmly (once again) tell her I'm glad it's found, but I need to get in to work now.
Once again, all is right in the world of the 9yo Drama Queen!
So, how has everyone elses day been?
