Evening all,

Thank you for your responses to the seven questions and the 'odd' question on weaher, so we have a Tornado now. Did read them but will not quote as they will make a long post.

Now anyone in a EARTHQUAKE? real one not the Universal ride???

Many of them. I lived 34 years in Southern California. The last BIG Quake we lived through Caro was 7 months PG with Alana. The quake hit around 6:00 AM and I had never seen here get out of our King Size Water bed so quickly. The previous big one to that was the 73 or 74 Sylmar quake that threw me out of bed and knocked books off the wall. My dad had just pulled off the freeway in Sylmar to look at a map and heard the rumbling behind him, he looked and the freeway he had been on was all broken rocks and pieces of stuff.

Since I lived in southern California for 24 years, I've been through MANY earthquakes plus my fair share up here in Seattle!
The 2 I remember the most are the Northridge quake http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northridge_earthquake because I was 7 months pregnant with Alana. We had a waterbed at the time. Somehow or another, I managed to fly out of that bed and into the doorway!
The other one is the Nisqually quake http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nisqually_earthquake
I was working on the 2nd floor of an older building at Boeing and that thing shook! Most of our factory building are made out of metal, so it was very noisy! IIRC, the building was closed for a couple days due to some damage.

I believe your dear wife said she flew out of bed, not get out of bed quickly. But I believe a tidal wave was caused by the earthquake thereby causing her to be tossed out. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Bob has to drag me out of bed, I freeze!!:faint:

Wait, let's discuss this as MATURE adults. I'm talking about earthquakes. I hate earthquakes and they scare me so much that I can't move or go where I should. This still isn't going to come out right is it? :sad2: :sad2:

Wow, what EQ stories. Us New Yorkers only read about them. Actually, about 15 years ago we did have a rare EQ. I awoke one morning by hearing the handles on our bedroom set rattling. Once I got to work I heard that we had an EQ that morning. We were far from the epicenter (it was somewhere in Canada) and I think it wasn't even a 3. So, aside from teaching about them, I really haven't a clue (thank goodness). :confused3

I just wanted to thank everyone for their concern for Linda. They found and removed some polyps from her stomach. Preliminary testing looks good, so we're very grateful for that. we're just hoping that they figure out what's causing her issues in the first place.

Still snowing. Probably about 3 inches so far. DH is outside shovelling. I've got a cold so I didn't venture out. It's about 25 degrees out so I'll let him have all the fun.:lmao:

We had lots of snow falling today, but absolutely nothing to show for it but wet roads and sidewalks. It was very weird. :confused3

Thinking good thoughts and will keep her in my prayers.

Just a quick hello on this snowy morning! Here we go again. Enough snow to be annoying but too little to close school. I feel like a broken record saying that again.

Welcome to my world........although, it's really snowing right now.....can we say "delayed opening?":confused3
