I do have off today, but I got no call, so I got up, got ready and I'm sitting here, no school! I didn't get to sleep in!!:confused3 I'm very confused right now. The school communication system didn't work! I checked the school website and saw that we were closed.........:cool1: Nothing like being off on a Wednesday!!::yes::

I had a call at 5:00 saying that school was closed. Good thing the snow plow woke me up so I could hear the phone, otherwise I wouldn't have found out until it was time to get up.

Paul and I are both not feeling too good today. Not to put to finer point to it we were both racing for the toilet last night, both have stomach cramps and both had night sweats  :headache:  :headache:  :headache:  :headache:

Not sure if I'll be posting once I get home, I may just give the kids their dinner and then go to bed ::yes::

Hope U R feeling better this morning Izzi!:goodvibes :thumbsup2

I'm still not sure what happened, I'm sitting here dressed for work!:confused3

London is like Manhattan -- just too easy to get around in, even with significant snow -- but out of the city, most people drive and it becomes dangerous . . .

Of course, when I was in England in Feb of 2005, there was an inch or so on the ground and everything seemed to shut down -- it was funny (to me) to see what a big deal snow was because you don't get a lot in the southern half of Britain . . .
Hey when I was a kid it snowed in Miami one day just a quick coating!:sad2:

No problem, just commenting..........definitely after!:rotfl2: and then only if you've had a few too!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Thats okay we will break out libations early & it will look loke an episode of the rich & famous Andrew can be Robin Leach!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: pirate:

We finally went there a few years ago to avoid the high cost of flying with the family to the Caribbean. The weather in Miami is pretty warm year round, so we went during Spring Break in April. WE LOVED IT! So a few years later we bought a small place there which Tara lived in while she was there. We just wanted to "get our foot through the door." Home values have dropped in FL, so it hasn't been a good investment. We rent it to year round residents at this point. If Tracy goes there, she would live in the apartment (and hopefully get a roommate.) We're hoping that one day, things will pick up, but unfortunately the prices are getting worse I think. I guess it would be a great time to move to Florida!:beach:

Now 'fes up Joann - do you have a FL resident id to get the FL resident discounts at WDW and DCL?

I am concerned that none of us are going to be able to get off the ship with this kind of talk!:drinking1 :crowded: :faint:

You come from Miami and you live in Boston? Isn't that backwards?:confused3
No my family had a place at 5001 Collins Ave back in the days of white bucks & leisure suits!:happytv: :rotfl2: I used to be taken out of school in Ma & brought to FLA for the winter!:thumbsup2
Life was good!:goodvibes

Oh I will have to take the family to Tivoli garden or will I? Hmmmm Sight see or rides?:sad2: :scared: :crowded: :drive: :moped: ::yes:: :hyper: :scratchin pixiedust:

From what I've read about Tivoli, if you aren't there in the evenings to see it all lit up it's not worth going for the rides. I've heard it described like a park with old carnival rides that you aren't sure you want to ride. :scared:

No, I stupidly have never thought of that........I've never been an actual resident......I'll have to check that out......I love this thread!!!:cool1:
