I am having a friend search for pricing on custom lanyards for the cruise. On the EBPC Repo one of our Pirates found a supplier for tube type lanyards like this

My buddy found a price for something like the Castaway Cay lanyard

which is $2.25 each if I order 200 or more. They would be one color on the printing. Which do you prefer, flat or tube? I thought the tube was more a problem with pins than the flat.

For the wording I was thinking "Official Baltic Ballyhooer" Anybody else have ideas?

If I remember correctly Andrew waaaaay back when on the 1st part of this thread I thought we'd decided that we were going to forgo the lanyards as we'd all got soooooooo many of them and we'd rather go for something original instead.

That is just sooooooooooooo funny, that EXACTLY what Paul and I do, I nearly always go to bed about 30 mins before Paul so that I can get to sleep before he gets in and starts snoring

I voted for "OTHER" as I would like to have a different ident for us all but if the majority want lanyards then I'll just go with the flow.

We are not quite as hot as the desert, but pretty darn close. Tons of days of 100+.

Well that took an hour to ketchup and I wasn't interupted by parents or anyone else doing visitations

If we kept up at this pace we would need PART 4 in about 2 1/2 weeks

OH! Oh! Oh! Julie - I mentioned Malta to Steve and he DIDN'T say no. Just told me it would save some $$ if we got one way tickets. Now, what to do with the kids. Send them home alone or the little ones wants to come along. Says she has an in with the Volleyball coach and can spare the time.

(Course I had to remind him that come Sept 18th - and God Willing - we would be flying back to Barcelona.) This time, I think I would rather fly directly into Barcelona instead of London/Heathrow. Andrew and or anyone else - has Terminal 5 gotten any better? last time we flew out of LAX to London/Heathrow to Barcelona. More expensive but I don't want to leave Heathrow - anyone know the airport code for that one?

Laura Heathrow terminal 5 is functioning just fine now. There has been nothing in the press for a long time now so I think you can assume that it's all working as it should.

London airport codes for those that need to know are:

Heathrow - LHR
Gatwick - LGW
Stansted - STN
Luton - LTN

Life getting in the way of the DIS again.

I can't believe the number of posts - you'd think we were sailing in a few months....

Sorry I'm having a bit of a 'mare over here right now. Josh went on a school trip to The Globe Theatre. It's just over the river about 20 mins from where I work in the City. Anyway the coach was supposed to pick them up from the theare at 2:15pm to take them back to school. So the coach didn't turn up till 4pm which means that by the time the coach get back to school all the school buses will have long gone from the school campus to get the kids home I was trying to pursade one of the teachers on the trip to allow me to go and get Josh so he could travel home with me, but now the bus has come he's got a 90 min (hopefully no longer) journey through the center of London in rush hour traffic to get back to school. Then he's got to come all the way back into the city on one tube line (about 50 mins) to change to another tube line that will get him home (another 50 mins) So all in all I don't expect he'll get home any time before 7:30pm

I'm now going to work late so that I can meet him when he gets back into the city so at least I can travel on the outbound tube back home with him.

Sorry if this all seems a bit mixed up, if you don't know the London transport system it's probably all double dutch.

Ouch. I actually like the London transport system, but that's coming from someone who lives in a place where public transit is just barely above non-existant.

All in all I would rather be in Miami or St Martin or Aruba.....etc.......

Aruba.... Sigh.... Given the chaos in my life recently, that sounds so appealing....

I think the writing shows up better on flat . . .

There's no reason why we can't do both -- order lanyards for whoever wants them, but also do something different like your wonderful luggage tags.

I appreciate that the coach company is to blame for the coach not turning up and the school legal responsibility is to get the kids back to school after the trip, but there has to be a procedure where a contingency plan comes into force for "unplanned" situations.

They had the kids waiting in the street for 2 hours with no food or drink and no access to the toilet. They did have 2 teachers and a security guard with them but bearing in mind the current situation in Israel/Gaza and the fact the Josh goes to the biggest Jewish school in Europe and you do have a potential nasty situation

That is so wrong in so many ways! Even if the coach company is to blame, after you telling us this week of the added security measures the school has started, something else should of been done.
