I love the Grand Californian. We just stayed there once and it was beautiful.

Is it like the Disneyland Hotel in DLRP ?? If so that was very nice, just a shame about the rest of DLRP which isn't nice

This one I know -- it's a children's book (around 6 or 7 year old level) about a boy who becomes flat like a piece of paper and what he can do . . .

In my opinion, the Grand Californian is more like Wilderness Lodge at WDW, a little nicer but similar. The Disneyland hotel in DLRP is fabulous and unlike any other Disney hotel -- I actually like DLRP, too.

It's a school project based on a book. The kids have to make a "Flat Stanley" out of paper or cardboard and send him to a friend to visit. The friend then takes pictures of flat stanley and writes a short story about where he went.

And yes bikini lady insisting she was as good as Kara was funny.

I don't hear very well, but even I could tell that Kara sang better than she did. But then the bikini didn't affect my judgment

Tonight's topic: What's a girl gotta do to get the tag fairy to notice her?

Do you throw out compliments to butter her up? Do you beg? Or maybe I'm totally on the wrong track, maybe the tag fairy is a guy. And then to come up with the most perfect in every way one liner.....
I guess I will just go to bed and contemplate my options.

Now now, just because they're closing the pseudo-California adventure version of the bakery doesn't mean you shouldn't come to California. Come up to the Bay Area and visit the real thing in San Francisco.



I stayed there for the first time last summer before the Repo cruise - very habit forming.

We really enjoyed our trip to DL/CA last summer. We said that we'd love to go back there for a few days, then explore more of California. We'd love to visit San Francisco, San Diego, Napa Valley, etc.

I see it's already been answered, but bunco is a dice game. It seems to be more about the social event than actually playing the game (although I'm sure that there are some very serious bunco mammas out there )

Flat Stanley is really cool. Laurie posted a good explanation. We took a "Flat Stephanie" on our last cruise for a friend's granddaughter.

I'm afraid a DL meet would be even more or a no, no than a NY meet for us. It's sad though I haven't been to DL since my 21st birthday
