It's so cold tonight! We just came back from the annual school skating party, where we rent out all of Wollman rink in Central Park and it is usually one of my favorite events -- it's so pretty being there at night, skating around while seeing the lights of the buildings around the edge of the park. However, tonight we left at 8 (it goes from 6-9) because the wind was whipping around and it was so cold it was hard to enjoy the pastoral beauty!
Even with it being cold, it still sounds fun!

:goodvibes
We had a wonderful time, thanks!

Gee wiz, Dan, Andrew and Robert,

You all sound like my DH Tom who, on every trip, takes a deep breath and a resigned sigh because I HAVE TO GO ON IASW once on each trip. Lucky for him, they kept MK opened one day one hour past the posted time because it was sooooo crowded (it really was much more crowded than in the past few years at this time) and we got on with no wait.

Before they redid the ride, every time he would point up at the little clown in the balloon who held the "help me" sign. :confused3 His worst nightmare is getting stuck in there like we did once and hearing the song over, and over, and over, and over....guess that ruined him for life. :dance3:
Well of course you go on it!:thumbsup2

Try working near it, hearing it over and over and over. I still like this attraction, but I confess I have never had to hear it for hours on end. One of my buddies though spent a summer on IASW so for June, July, & August, 40 plus hours a week he heard :"It's a Small World After All, Its a Small World After All...."

:cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

My friend and I had a great afternoon on the 15th, polishing off a bottle of Viognier between the two of us, and eating her Valentine's chocolates:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes If you haven't tried it, let me tell you that it goes very nicely with chocolate!
Not yet, great plan.........my oldest DD and I read "A Summer Affair" last summer by Elin Hildebrand and we read about the wine which played a central part in the affair, so we HAD to try it!! The rest is history..........

Anyone know this author or book?? Usually, her books are set in Nantucket in the summer months..........:lovestruc :worship:

OK, good! I wouldn't want my friends to have any type of problem from viewing

Thanks for another pic. :thumbsup2

And this is a problem why...?!? :confused3

You also have a wife who worked out near IASW numerous times! She had heard the song over and over again many times!
He does seem to forget about you every so often. :dance3: popcorn::  :upsidedow

Hey what is up with Izzie?

Last I remember her posting she said she was very busy at work.
Actually, since you haven't been around much either, I thought you 2 went on vacation together to someplace very warm. :lmao: :beach: :flower:

It was -- we just usually stay for the entire three hours and couldn't do it this year!

OMG, check her out.......she wrote Beach Club, Nantucket Nights, A Summer Affair, Blue Bistro.......and a few others.......we're obsessed with her!:goodvibes

Yeah...what she said. Some of us on this thread actually like that ride. :grouphug: :cloud9:

Don't get me wrong - I love the ride. But on a hot day, sailing through the cool waters with singing - very easy to doze off....:music:

IASW, its used as torture in many countries, Spy's used the dripping water on the forehead, but it doesn't have the same effect as repeating that 'Song' if I can call it that, over and over and over again.

Once its there, its there, you will all be thinking about it in your sleep, ( if you can sleep) tonight,

Really? That's interesting. I thought the U.S. (previous administration) had a monopoly on Waterboreding....:rolleyes1

They sound like good vacation/cruising books -- am I right?

Ok, you are off the hook since you like the ride. My appologies. :flower3:

Looks like I got lucky yesterday and was able to snag a cat. 4 gty for my friends for this cruise. I tried to book them one last week and it was not to be found so I had to book 2 cabins. I just checked a few minutes ago and the cat. 4 gty is now gone.
