Ok. Now is my chance. If I just keep holding conversations with myself, I can be a REAL Ballyhoo'er!

What do you think?

Well, self, I think you sure have a long way to go, these folks like to talk!!!!

Yes, self, I agree! I can certainly YAKKETY- YACK with the best of them, as you know.

Hmmmm self, you're getting a little ridiculous chatting to yourself just to get you post count higher on this thread. I expected more from you.

Well, self, there is NO ONE around here to talk to and they all seem to chat when I am at school soooooooo I've resorted to this.:confused3

Anyway, self, that's how I originally got my name:

Dah dah dah dah ta dah

Captain Fluffy Strikes Again!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

OK, I guess it's time to see a professional about this..........

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

:thumbsup2 :worship: :rotfl2: Ya gotta start somewhere!

In the beginning God created MAN & thought it was good then he took a rib from man & created Women & Man has had a pain in his side ever since!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :worship: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :worship: :cool2: :scared:

And thus spare ribs were invented.... :rolleyes1

Hey do you think we'll get latkas and borcht and gefillta fish on the cruise

Mickey shaped latkas - that's an innovation!

We buy ours at the Super Market / Mega/Store & take it home to cook up with cabbage & potatoes then slice & eat MMMM, or go to a butcher shop to get it thinly sliced to put on a bulkie or light rye with a pickle & maybe a Knish MMMMMMM

The best reason for living in the NY or the Northeast - good pastrami.

You'll get that when DCL finally does a cruise out of NYC ;)

That would be awesome - it's cheaper for us to fly to NY from here than Orlando.

There has been talk about this for quite some time -- with the new ships, they will probably put one of the ships here for some special itineraries -- maybe New England fall foliage cruises, or trips to Bermuda, or up to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, or some combination. They could use the new cruise terminal in Brooklyn (used by the Queen Mary II now) or the Liberty Cruise terminal in New Jersey (about a $50 taxi fare from Manhattan -- Royal Caribbean sails from there). Less likely are the west side piers -- I think only Norwegian still sails from there, although it is super convenient if you live in Manhattan (like I do) or if you are visiting Manhattan before or after a cruise (as so many do).

I think it will happen one day! And think -- they would have to do repositioning cruises to and from Florida, probably . . .

I'll take DCL sailing out of NYC or NJ anyday. :thumbsup2
Just a ride up the NJ turnpike, park at MetroPark, jump on NJTranist into Penn Station and then a taxi to the port - if it's out of NY. If out of NJ I'll just drive to Liberty Park.

Carnival also uses the West side piers, sailed out of there in June.

I think I will actually start to look at my pics from our cruise this past summer and see if I can get some posted for all to see. :thumbsup2

Wish me luck...... :flower:

Ok Izzi, I've actually looked at the first memory card of pics and stored them on the computer. Still have 1 more to look at and then I can figure out what to do with them.
Then DD still hasn't done anything with her's; but they are mostly cars, animals and leaves/flowers.

I'm halfway there to the first step. :woohoo:

Well, I'm about to turn in........:goodvibes

  gggrrrrrrr:mad:       Nasty journey into work. Got to the train station to find a 30 min delay so walked to the tube station instead.

I HATE THE TUBE IN RUSH HOUR, the people are rude and horrible and personal music players are just that for personal use only NOT for everyone who is in the same carriage to listen too

37 PAGES???????

I'm busy for 2 days and not only have you closed down the thread, you are well on your way to closing out the next!:rotfl: :rotfl:

WE HAVE CERTAINLY EARNED THE TITLE "BALLYHOO'ERS!

Yes but only 2 pages overnight.....very quiet.....I guess it's those dark winter nights drawing in...or maybe you all getting out the holiday decorations.

As Christmas and Channukah coincide this year does anyone fancy doing a Ballyhooers holiday card exchange ???

A reminder

You PM me your full name and postal address, as do all the other people who want to participate. I then compile a list with all that information and send it out to all the people on the list. You then send a christmas/channukah/holiday card to all the people on the list and you should get one back from all the people on the list.

It's a nice way to bring us all closer together and celebrate the holidays and it also great fun to see the cards coming through the door as they won't all be coming from the same country. :grouphug:  :grouphug:  :grouphug:  :grouphug:

I've been asked by a couple of Ballyhooers to give an exact cutoff date as they wish to order really, really extra special cards to send to us ;) ;) So if you wish to be sociable and holidaylicious please can you PM me your postal details by November 13th 2008 :grouphug:

Some Ballyhooers have told me what holiday they celebrate if I was going to list that information. I don’t think I’m going to for the following reasons.

1. We are all friends and the cards are being sent in the spirit of friendship

2. I am Jewish and I only buy and send Channukah cards to all my friends regardless of their religious belief. At the same time I don’t expect my non Jewish friends to send me anything other than the same Christmas cards they are sending to all their other friends as it’s the friendship and joy we are sharing which is important message here not what picture is on the front of the card.

We now have 14 holidaylicious people who wish to participate in this card exchange....for those of you who haven't yet PM'd me this is a reminder that you only have 0 days to join in. TODAY IS THAT DAY !!! :santa: :santa: :santa:

Huh Izzie with this post Im ahead!:thumbsup2

Hey I didn't realise that this was a competition .... I thought we were just a very chattylicious group of friendly people............of course if you wish to be know as the most chattylicious person .............:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

:wave2: Izzie - my -you all certainly have been chattylicious lately. I left you on Sunday or Monday with 4 pages, then I post on page 13 - now y'all are on 39! :scared1: OK - its late and I must be in bed soon - under orders of the nazi commando AKA my torturer at the fitness club.

So, with that - I will skim the last 2 pages and then shut off. Hope everyone has a good Thursday. I think I am coming down with something. There is a tickle in the throat and lump the size of a gumdrop. Oh well, let you all know later.

:wave2:
