That's not whimsical, that's a very practical thing to have when the great flood comes - you will be able to grab it and thank your dear DH for saving you.

It actually sits on the stairs .....I told you we've got no hanging space !!!!!

I know what kind of rain you can get over there. I saw pictures of Ironbridge just a few years ago when they had the horrible floods up there. That life ring would have come in handy for many.

Lets all post pictures of our trees as we get them up- I start decorating the day after Thanksgiving . I used to to do it about 2 weeks before Christmas, but by the time I got everything up, it was time to take it all down. With all the shopping, cooking and stress I couldn't even enjoy it! So, now I do it early before all the nonsense starts, and I really do enjoy all the work I put into it! Every post holiday shots of family and decorations!!
