Come out and play Lizzie I promise not to post in LARGE FONT
OOPS!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I'm putting you're calling me Lizzie down to a typo so I'll pass on making a comment about that, other than to say please be more careful in future :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I had the most awful evening. I picked up Josh from home at 4:30pm, we went round to pick up another girl in his class that we give a lift to and then drove to shul. I waited an hour for their class and then we drove home.........and the time I got home 8:30pm yep that's right 4 hours later the journey took 1 1/2 hours each way, I have no idea what was going on in North London last night but the traffic was horrendus and the standard of driving just shocking. Anyway by the time we got home I was just so tired I wasn't even feeling hungry and at 9pm I just crawled into bed. So overall it was a nasty night :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

:rotfl:

In the UK, we most likely are all watching BBC Children in need, a 7 hour programme for charity, raising money for kids, with lots of stars taking part.

Didn't get to see any of it .......... was it any good ......... did they manage to raise lots of money given the state of things money wise ????

Hanuka is a fairly minor holiday celebrating a miracle, of a menorah staying lit for 8 day's with only enough oil for 1. So we light a candle every night in a Hunukia not a menorah! In modern times some families give there children gifts on each night, Dradles & candy are nice gifts. Izzie moght have some better ideas!

Yes I would agree as Robert says above. Hannukah is certainly not one of the major festivals but as it generally falls during December we do get a bit fluffy about it and now I've dicovered Disney Hannukah decorations we put them up and send out cards. We give the boys small gifts every night for eight nights and then on the last night we give a bigger gift. When I say small gifts I really do me small i.e this year they are getting £1 on the 1st night, £2 on the second, £3 on the third etc, etc.

We use a Disney Hannukia which is a candelabra with 9 candles, but you can use a menorah which has 7 candles. I've posted picures of both....sorry Carolyn

It was a good show and they raised more than last year on the night, £20,991,216. Recent high pofile newspaper reports, with reguards to children at risk might have had a positive effect.

Yea, well, it's called a job.........:confused3 :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 .......thx to all for entertaining me each night as I anxiously await our upcoming trip.... :dance3: :cheer2:

Sorry but in the current economic times.......SOMEONE HAS TO PAY FOR THIS CRUISE!!:thumbsup2

Yep I know all about that job bit and this current economic climate. 4 months ago I worked in a team of 4 people, now I work in a team of 1...... ME !!! However the workload has not been decreased or distributed amonst other people so now I'm doing 3 other peoples jobs as well as my own ........ hence the reason I'm now doing 7:30am till 6:30pm 4 days a week and I rarely get a lunch break and the only reason I leave at 4:30 on Fridays is so I can get Josh to his barmitzvah class. Oh yes there's been no increase in my salary either !!!

Ok I'm off my soapbox now. It does have it's upside as I sit at a desk all day and I'm pretty much left to my own devises and I get to manage my own time I get to play here during the day so it's not all bad and I get to provide you with nightly entertainment   :woohoo: :cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Yes thanks for the post, it has been available on packages with our leading USA tour operators, Virgin Atlantic for example and Disney uk, we tend ot get it each year, WDW like us Brits we often come along at the end of August when the USA Kids might have gone back and they do this to get us to stay onsite.

I bet WDW will see a massive drop in UK Bookings now due to the Crunch and £/$ rate.

This will hurt Disney bad, after USA guests often we are the next highest group &/or the highest spenders at WDW, now they will have to make some more offers avaialble or they will see us dissapear.

I am going, in 09, and at that time but as I am limiting my stay to 3 days ,I can take on the offer, but did it in 2003 and 2006 and it was really good.

We plan to go probably before our July 18th cruise.......it would be nice to get that offer!
