7/18/2010 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo!! Part 2

It's like a ghost town here at work. A lot of people didn't come in today and now a lot more of them left at lunch time! I'm sticking it out for my whole shift!

I went down and around Central London today, it was very very busy all the shops very full, but it was manly people from Europe purchasing things here due to the favorable exchange rate from the Euro to the pound.

We're just watching the film "Stardust" and I have to say I thinks is completely great, such a good film

Both boys finished school last friday. Josh starts back on the 5th when I do but Ethan doesn't go back until the 7th

We're giving Chanukkah Gelt right now but start on the bigger stuff on the 4th night and it get bigger as the week end up

I think my son is getting a video game & my oldest daughter is getting her class trip to Washington tonight, I am not sure what the little ones are getting they like these toys that have on line sites that you log into and play games?

My wife is at Figure skating with my oldest daughter we will have Hanuka when they return!

Not quite, but the topper was used at WDW. It's a 15 foot tree with an 18 inch glass topper.

The Winnie the Pooh that is in the window came from the Disney Store that was used as a display one year when I worked there.

Speaking of Gelt, my DSIL's mom had us over for Hanuakah and gave my DD and DSIL Gelt. When they looked at it closely, one side was plain with the shiny aluminum and the other side had a sticker of Hannah Montana on it!!!! Of course, my DSIL teased his mother all evening!

I took the two younger girls to see the new Shrek musical on B'way tonight -- the acting and singing were first rate and I enjoyed it more than I had expected to.

Ok, good tip, I'm still thinking about this one..........I think I have a discounted tix offer for it........

YIPPEEE!!!!! I NO LONGER HAVE A FLAT TIRE!!!!
I have a nice new tire and a portable air compressor. AAA still could not come help me this afternoon, so we had to go to Plan B. When Andrew got home from work we went out and got the compressor, filled the tire and then I drove to Costco. I got my new tire and I'm now a happy camper!
No new snow today, but possibly a little tomorrow night. Lots of slush on the streets which could turn into ice tonight.
4 more sleeps and 1 more day of work!

Good Morning/Afternoon to all who Ballyhoo!
Wow it is 9 degree's F here!
Sorry I have not been posting much but I have been swamped with work, Hanuka & my son being on the Undefeated MHS Varsity Hockey Team!
I was at a game untill 10:30 last night on the other side of Boston, then I had to pick him up at the local rink when the bus got in!

Well, I guess those things are your priorities...... .........

Glad to hear that your Hanuka is going well, my wife has only been giving out the small gifts as she was waiting for school to end before starting on the bigger stuff! Unfortunately all good things must end, and today is the last day of school for my children untill January 5th!

Oh well, with this cold weather I would love to head south, one of my son's old hockey coaches who's son did not make the Varsity (on the JV) is heading to Universal Studio's in FLA (Staying at the Hardrock) for the holidays! Boy was I jealous when he told me!

Yes, this is the downside of making those teams......no absences, no excuses.............it's takes a little discipline, but if it keeps your kids out of trouble, it's definitely worth it..........
