I have done lots of searching but keep getting mixed answers. We will be at staying ASMo, have a 7:15 breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey's. This is the first time I have stayed on property so it's the first time I am relying on the buses solely. I am not that worried about it overall except for this one meal.

1-What is the best way to get there? I have seen mention of an early bus for early ADR's. Should I just take that to MK and take the monorail over to Contemporary?

2-About how long should this trip take? I ran a 7:15 ressie by DH when I was booking it but never actually mentioned the extended time that it could take to get there :) I am gonna have to throw that in at some point the night before but I need to have an estimate.

3-Should I just scrap it all and take a cab? How much would that run?

Well, the buses do start running to the MK at 6:30am, sometimes a bit earlier. In order to make it in time, you have to be out at the MK bus stop around 6:15. You may have to wait a bit, but it will pay off by being on the first bus. If you get to the stop at 6:30, you may just miss the bus and another one won't be along for another 20 or so mins.
Even then, it's going to be close. I would politely ask the driver which is faster to the CR....walking or the monorail. Tell him you have a 7:15 ADR and need the quicker way. The driver may very well offer to drop you right at the CR, before heading to MK...especially if you are the only ones on the bus. Otherwise, he may offer to drop you off on the way out of MK.
I would just plan on walking over if there is no offer. By the time you get up to the monorail platform, you could have been half way to the CR along the walkway. I always walk over...takes under 10 mins.

If you don't want to leave it to the buses, get a cab. If you do that, I would plan on leaving your resort around 6:50ish.

A taxi would be $10 to $15.
More than that: distance is about 7 mi., rate is $2.20/mi. + $1.65.

That's close to $20 with tip, possibly a bit more if there are any wait time charges, or if the driver doesn't take the shortest route.

When we took a taxi last year it was approximately $20 from All-Star Sports. We did not want to chance not making it there via the resort busses. Have a great trip! :goodvibes

No doubt that is difficult

We had the same problem in June and ended up taking a taxi and it cost $20-$30. Everyone talks about the buses but you have to get out there early and wait... and wonder if the next bus is yours or not... You might end up waiting 20 minutes and then find out that you missed your bus about 5 minutes before you walked out the door!

Taxi's are expensive but obviously faster and reliable...
