7/14/2014 - 12-Night Mediterranean Cruise (with Greece) Venice to Barcelona

Hi.

We just booked the cruise. We are a family of 4. DH 38, DD 6, DS 6 and me 37. We are from Spain.

It's going to be our 5th cruise in DCL, we love it.

We are going in the fantasy this summer, so I am busy with that one right now, FE, port aventures, ... But I am so exited about Greece as well.

I am going to ask now to join the Facebook group.

See you

I forgot.

We are interested on the FE group. Our room is 6103, but I willupgrade before the cruise.

This cruise is certainly turning out to be very international!!! :thumbsup2

One of the things we really loved about the med cruises is the internationality of it. one of the laments my daughter had about the Caribbean itinerary we just came off of was that 'none of the kids (read: boys) had accents.' It struck me funny, I hadn't thought about that.

We are going to have to get the girls together, mine just got her first job too. She managed to skip out of helping me dye eggs 'due to work.' I was so sad - it's her first year she's done this. And I've been using Rit all my life, my Yiayia taught me. Only changed to the church dye when i saw it in the church store, until our Presvytera told me "your silly, use Rit."

I'm saving the pink kitchen cleanup for this weekend. I forgot the white vinegar, used cider, and everything is so totally sticky.

Welcome to the group, Esther - what are you upgrading to?

Hola, encantat de conèixer-te. Gràcies This is about all I remember from our 2010 cruise out of Barcelona. When we first booked I had no idea that Spanish wasn't Spanish everywhere, found out when we sent the HOHO route and schedule to my bilingual niece and she didn't recognize a lot of it. So I spent 6 months listening to Catalian (? sp) cd's in the car hoping I would be able to eat and find our hotel. Not a lot of good, got us from the airport to hotel, the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, recognized a few stops on HOHO and then to the port. I am embarrassed that I am so mono lingual.

Thanks for the welcome everybody.

MSP, we live in Zaragoza, but my mum was from Barcelona, such a nice city. We probably go this summer to visit some relatives.

Have a magical day!!

We did the 11 day Med on th Magic May 15, 2010 - you weren't on at the same time were you ? A friend was on the 10 day immediately ahead of us, passed him gtting off as we were getting on, they had some rain throughout, we had great weather the first day on the ship and it just kept getting better, one of our best cruises. :woohoo:

We are looking forward to the PC being even better. :goodvibes

Hello! We did the May 5th cruise just before you...the only rainy day was in Pisa, and even then it cleared up about half way through the day.

We loved the trip, and we are excited to go back next year! Especially now that the Magic will seem like a new ship with all the refurbishments :)

Greek Festival this weekend in Roseville, CA if anyone is nearby. Good practice for our trip next year!:cool1:
