Thanks for this info! We are on the 6/17/16 sailing so I contacted Orkney Aspects (we do not stop in Inverness )

They've told me that for my sailing, DCL has booked all of the available motor coaches for this day so a "private" tour (with just my family) is the only option. If you are interested in doing a private tour, I would start looking into it now!

Thanks for this info! We are on the 6/17/16 sailing so I contacted Orkney Aspects (we do not stop in Inverness )

They've told me that for my sailing, DCL has booked all of the available motor coaches for this day so a "private" tour (with just my family) is the only option. If you are interested in doing a private tour, I would start looking into it now!

Debating on flying round trip in and out of Heathrow or Gatwick from NYC and taking a flight to Copenhagen. Probably cheaper to do that than to fly one way into Copenhagen and one way out of UK. Anyone have any suggestions?

Looking at our flights the Copenhagen ones seem to mostly leave Heathrow, BA have a lot, and an open jaw return with BA might be the most cost effective.

BA have a big fleet and regular flights to Copenhagen so if you miss one connection they can pop you on another.

Our family of three is looking at Inverness Tours, hoping Tony will consider a shortened version of his Loch Ness Specialty Tour. This would leave another 3 seats available. We are a middle-aged couple (though not as mature as that may suggest), with a 12 year old daughter. We will persue this regardless...but thought another group may wish to split costs. If Tony is not available, we will book the cruise port excursion with Loch Ness.
I've been a member since 2012, but rarely post, so as yet, am unable to pm.
