7/13/14 Dream Cruise

Has everyone gotta their cruise documents? We still haven't gotten them and are getting a bit worried...

We got ours a few days back. But only for 2 out of 3 rooms, 1 is still MIA. If you booked through a travel agent they may have gone there. There is no need to be worried, the main thing you need out of them is the luggage tags. If you don't get them or forget them they have generic ones ready at the port do no worries they are just fun to get as it means the cruise is getting closer.

Hello! Just researching the FE and thinking of joining in if its still open for this cruise. I will be traveling with my husband and our 2 kiddos. Our son is 12 and our daughter will have just turned 11 when we cruise. Our in-laws are also going and have a daughter who is 15 and a 12 year old son. This looks like fun for all ages. do you think they would enjoy it? We have been to Disney many times but this is our first cruise and we can't wait!!!

We are traveling with a 12 year old son too!!

Just joined the last minute group! We are a family of five--me, my husband, my 10 year old step-son, my 8 year old son, and my 7 year old step-son. My son and I have cruised once before, but it was five years ago. I'd never heard of FE until today. They will be so excited!

We have main dining because the kids are early eaters and couldn't wait until 8 to eat. There would be a mutiny!

This is our first Disney Cruise. We booked a little last minute but we are really excited and my kids ages 6 and 3 are excited to participate in the FE. I hope we aren't too late to make it in the last group.

We are doing a b-2-b-2-b this summer, so i am trying to get organized and get things packed that are easy to finish up.

Hi Everyone,

We (actually just me) are so excited to have found this message board regarding our Disney cruise. I have never done a message board before so hopefully I am doing this correctly. And, this is our first Disney cruise.

Our family consists of me, my husband, and our 6 year old boy/ girl twins who will be turning 7 on this cruise. This cruise is actually their birthday gift from us.

After reading the previous posts, it appears that we need to do the following:
1. join a FE group- I did one yesterday, but I believe that one was a closed group, so I joined one that appeared to be open. When will I know if we were "accepted" into this group.

2. I also am in the process of figuring out our magnets and FE holder for our door. Of course I am going to go with the birthday theme for the kids.

3. My husband and I are excited about the CC 5K. I know it will be hot and I most likely will not run the entire race, but sounds unique. If both of us want to do the race, does anyone have any suggestions on what we could do with the kids during that time? And, when do we sign up for the race?

4. Mixology classes? Are there any of these on the cruise?

Any suggestions on what else we should do/ sign up for on this cruise. Thanks in advance for your input.

I know the first group closed June 1st-there was another group started on the Facebook page, but that one maybe closed as well.

I love doing the magnets!! I have so many-even different folders for the different ships-slightly obsessed! I won't be able to bring min this trip because we are in concierge this time and mine aren't strong enough to hang on those doors

It's going to be very hot and humid!! I did it on August one time. I want to do it this time, but don't know if I can convince my son to go to Scuttles cove-it's the kids area on the island where you check the kids into-you can do it on the way to the race. I don't know if they changed it on the Dream yet, but we signed up onboard when we were on the Magic-it's free. If you don't need to sign up ahead of time=in the Navigator the night before it tells you where to go in the morning to meet and sign up.

4. Mixology classes? Are there any of these on the cruise?
There are different types on the cruise. I want to do the mixology one. Look on the Navigator the first day-sign up the first day when you board-they fill up fast.
Any suggestions on what else we should do/ sign up for on this cruise. Thanks in advance for your input.

Once you cruise you'll be addicted. Take it from me-I've done 25-living in Florida helps. This one is just myself and my youngest son. The rest of the gang will be camping with the Boy Scouts. So, we had to do something while everyone was gone

I would recommend doing a dinner or brunch in Palo. The food is delicious. Don't try to do everything. If you're even thinking about doing another Disney cruise-book it while you're onboard-the earlier the better-the desk gets busy near the end. You save 10%, reduced deposit, and get an onboard credit. If you use a travel agent name them at the time of booking so that it doesn't count as a transfer of a reservation-your travel agent will give you less onboard credit this way.

OK so I totally missed this section of this site in all my reading. We will also be first timers. My family is my husband and I and 3 kids ages 13, 12 ,10. I just heard about FE the other day and am wondering if I cn get on a list someplace and what I need to do. We so don't know what to expect but are super excited!!!! Also doing 8 days at WDW after in a cabin.
