@doberlady -- I added your stateroom number to the roll call. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that one located in the middle of the ship opens up for you soon!
oh and we are
#6509 11B (God help me). No window for 12 nights. I get seasick so I don't really mind all that much. My husband could care even less so I think it will work. I have never seen an inside cabin in person. Doesn't look that bad online. Figure we will be spending so little time in the cabin with a med trip. I did want to be more mid ship though and we are all the way to the front. Will keep looking for better room #'s as time goes on. I figure in a few days there will be a lot more cabins opening up as the 3 day holds expire.
We figure what we would pay for an OV we can spend on excursions.
Finally made it over here!!
The boards have been running sooooo slowly for me. Anyone else?
Time to read and catch up to speed
Im_A_Princess ~ (Chrissy), DH (Brett) only us...no kids this trip. From Maryland. Main (1st) Seating. Stateroom 7620. *FE*
Just realized my Birthday is while on this cruise! LOL 7/16
**I can be the Meet & Greet Coordinator if not taken yet
Triple ditto everyone else .... WE ARE GOING TO GREECE!
I posted a couple of trip reports on the first page so enjoy!
Also, at some point we will need to come up with a slogan -- I just called it the Eastern Med Mouseketeers to get us started. Don't mind at all if the group comes up with something better. I'm also organizing an Alaska thread this summer and I was able to get Millipie to do a super logo for us. Here it is...
So ... I'm hoping that there will be someone here who will volunteer to arrange getting a logo made once we all agree on a slogan -- someone can get us organized on coming up with a slogan too! There was a great one done for a Baltic cruise a few years back. In fact, maybe some of you were on that cruise?!
Our meet thread is only two days old and we are moving along at light speed. I so look forward to planning with you until we all meet on the Mickey Boat!
Beth
I am so glad there is one or more people on here who have done the Med before. Calming me down! LOL
It also seems (still reading and catching up) that a lot of people here have done a number of DCL cruises.
This will be our 16th if the other 2 cruises reserved are taken. May even add a Christmas Holiday 2012 in the cruises mix. Still looking at those.
How many DCL cruises has everyone been on?
It is great to have some experienced people here!!! Like I said above I am glad for the experienced Med. cruisers here!
Is Mouseketeering a word?? LOL
LOOK OUT! HERE COMES THE S'MORES!
we will also be there too....we travel from a far away land called "rockford"....deep in the heartland...
we are 2 adults and 2 "kids"...my daughter will celebrate her 16th Birthday on board the magic (yep....it was the best way to keep her from asking if she can drive the car....) and my son will be 9.
we are currently booked in 8050...but got our fingers crossed...and a bit of pixie dust...we are on the wait list for a suite.....anyone will do....
we will also do FE...looking forward to it!
we have travel the med before....2005 (on another line), 2007 west bound transatlantic disney magic, 2008 (greece...another line), 2010 disney magic....and, we have never been to TURKEY!
Tinkerbelltwins,
Last year when we went on our Med cruise I did quite a bit of research on the different ports. I thought I would share those sites that I found useful...you might find something interesting for your links post...

Hello! Our girls are almost the same age. Our girls love to make friends on their cruises - we should plan to meet on board to introduce our kids.
You can add us to the roll call. Can't remember our room number but we are second seating for dinner It is myself (Debby),DH, DS (16 at the time), Ds (14 at the time). Must admit that we are not certain yet but I have it booked and am definitely hoping that we can swing it. We did the Med cruise in 2010 and love the idea of the new ports. I am interested in doing FE so add us in to that list as well. We are booked on the Fantasy for July 14, 2012 so this one will be our 9th cruise on DCL and 11th in total (I regret both cruises we did on other cruise lines- nothing matches Disney).
I have some port information from our last cruise (we booked private tours because they worked out to almost the same price since we are 4 people). Unfortunately all of my information is in my head so I can answer questions better than providing it directly. My suggestion is wait before looking at airline prices. Travel costs to Europe drop constantly. In the end we paid about 800 a person to Barcelona (we flew when the volcano had erupted in Iceland what a mess).

This is our 5th cruise (we did the Med. in may 2010)
Thanks so much for doing this.
Beth, I kind of like our name. I vote to keep it. After all, I already made my rotating banner about Mouseketeering in the Med!!
I am one of the least creative people so designing anything is out, but I am thrilled that this thread has taken off and will help in anyway I can. Let's hope we keep up the pace.
Can't wait to meet everyone.
