7/12 & Christmas decorations STILL up!

My "white trash" (that's ANOTHER story for another time) neighbors still have their frickin large Christmas stuffed penguin display sitting in their front picture window! Complete with Santa hats & scarves. Ugh.

Since we share the driveway, I have to see it everytime I pull in.

Jeesh, people, might as well leave it up at this point! Christmas is only 166 days away. Yes, I counted.

ok that is odd, it's summer, not winter. Maybe they are confused and think summer is winter and winter is summer. Are they wearing jackets?

If that was the only offense that the "white trash" had committed (leaving their Christmas decorations up into the summer), I doubt that you would be so upset. This is just the latest of their behaviors that are driving you crazy, yes?

In my book, leaving Christmas decorations up past their expiration date isn't a very big neighborly "crime". I get more upset about drunken neighbors who threaten bodily harm to other neighbors...but other than that I have no problems with my "fave" neighbor.

These are the only neighbors I don't talk too. He's been spotted by many of us (including myself) performing lewd acts in his front window & front door. Police cant' do anything except talk to him since its his home.

BUT, he did get arrested last year when a passerby saw him performing same type of lewd act in the 2nd story window of an empty office at his work.

So, NO, he's not wearing winter coats. Not wearing much of ANYTHING i guess.

And won't even go into white trash girlfriend & her kids.

I read an article on a family that had up their decorations and then a loved one got deployed. They vowed to keep up their decorations until their loved one was home to celebrate no matter how long it took. Do I think this is strange? yes, a bit. Would I do it? no. Am I here to judge others? No. Does it really matter to me if someone has decorations up? Nope. Not my house. I agree with the previous poster that this family must have done other things to tick you off.

BTW I just love Christmas lights. I would love them all year long. In fact a few times I have contemplating being the "white trash" neighbor and getting those lighted Halloween string lights, then the St Patrick ones, then some Valentine heart string lights......... Course hubby would kill me. He didn't even do any Christmas lights last year. What a scrooge!!!!!!

Oh My! I posted before I saw this. I would think you would love the decorations to distract from the other "sights"......

TRUST ME, he's not military!!! LOL We are military. I don't think they would take him.

Yes, there is other stuff. We hear her CONSTANTLY screaming at & berating her kids. And I swear what sounds like beatings. We have a shared wall. I can actually hear the words she uses. I can't hear sounds from condo unit on our other side, nor have I heard sounds from their unit when past families have lived there. Its not just in their house either. She swears at them & at others in the driveway while talking on the portable phone. POS car.............................. And more. Honestly, we live in a very nice neighborhood with GREAT other neighbors. These people just don't belong here.

Ya know, he hasn't done any of that stuff lately that we've seen. But tonight, as I returned sweating from the store, in the rain on this HUMID night, those penguins really ticked me off!

Its too hot. If I'm sweating, those poor penguins must be dying from the heat!!!
