this night had to be the worst night or day i ever spent in a WDW park. well after a rather fabulous morning at AK, we almost walked onto everything we wanted to do, after our afternoon break we decided to go to MK and finish out our day. well from the moment we arrived on main street we knew we were not going to have the AK morning we just had.

the heat from all of the people in MK made it seem much hotter the AK was. almost stifiling. well after we went past everyone lining main street for ther parade we felt we were going to lose some of the crowds. the ol' guidebook mantra of best time to ride e-ticket attractions is at parade times, well not this day. well for one SplM was down so the lines for BTBRR was incredible. so we fastapssed that one and decided to try to go and do Buzz, Lilo and SPM.

well on the way we couldnt believe the lines for PP. almost 60 minutes, the lines for SW and even the wait for IASW was over 30 minutes. we decided to try and make a stop and try our favorite HM. well that just went down. then we observed a rush of people coming by us as we were getting some refreshment and i overheard someone complaining about waiting over 45minutes for PP and it went down. 3 major attractions in 3 parts of MK. not good. so off to SM we went. well the lines there were off the hook and buzz was almost 45 mniute wait so we decided to go and try the often maligned Liilo and stitch,, well that was a 60 minute wait also.

so we took it all in stride and proceeded to try and do the one ride we love but didnt attempt yet, POTC. well finally after almost one hour of walking and fighting the crushing crowds we finally were able to ride this classic attraction. it was even more enjoyable due to the fact we have had such horrible luck so for.

we then decided to stop in frontier land and at least enjoy Wishes. this was special for me because i was in WDW with my brother and his family. my wife and sister-in-law remarked how we looked while watching the fireworks. like 2 little grinning kids without a care in the world. if we could feel this good while having a rather unlucky night this vacation is going to be a special one.

well our fastpasses were coming up so it was off to BTMRR. well needless to say when we got there it too had broken down. we just laughed and figure we had some sort of black cloud over our head. we took a vote and decide to go to SM and were going to wait on that line if it took all night, or at least until closing. on the way we noiticed that PP had just re-opened so we jumped on and were almost loading when they suddenly opened up the fastpass line and we had to wait for all of them to load. i politely told the CM about our horrible luck and she let us go on . i thanked her and off to neverland.

we then noticed the lines we totally out of control after we got off PP. amazing it was to see that happen so fast. well we went to SM and the line seemed forever but we were going to wait anyway because it was 15 minutes to closing. well there wasnt anyone in the queue line inside the building so when they allowed us to go in we literally walked onto the ride. clever trick making the lines seem so long at closing it discourages anyone from going on late. well we rode SM and had a blast. grabbed a dole whip on the way out and ended the perfect day by waiting almost 45 minutes for a bus.

still all in all we had managed to have a great time. only in WDW could you have such terrible luck and still manage to have a good time

sorry so long.

Sorry you had rotten luck at Mk that day. We were there on the 6th too! W had a little better luck because we started there with the EMH. We walked right on Dumbo (yes, I said Dumbo). Within the first two hours we had done 8 attractions. We were very happy. We stayed until it got packed (around 2) and went back to CSR. We came back around 6 and did find it to be still crowded. We went to Toontown and did some other attractions we didn't see earlier. We left around 9. As we were leaving Frontierland (as the parade was starting none the less) we heard a POP and the stroller stopped. The back axle broke and one wheel popped off. Oh My! We were so glad it happened at the end of the day. I carried the baby, the older two kids helped with our gear and my husband pushed the two wheeled stroller out of the park. We were so happy when we saw cm directing people to the park exit in the backstage areas. It made our exit so much easier since we didn't have to struggle with the parade watchers.

After we left MK we found a super target to get a new stroller. It was 9:50 when we entered and they were closing at 10:00. We managed to pick a stroller, open it to see what tools we would need, and buy a few groceries all before 10:00. The real dilemma became where to dispose of the broken stroller. Have you ever noticed there is not a visible dumpster in sight. We didn't want to leave it next to a trash can and look not so pleasing. We didn't want to leave it for housekeeping to deal with. Fortunately, on our last morning my husband saw someone collecting the trash and they took it.

Hope you had a great trip! Ours was our best ever.

Good for you--a positive attitude will help every time. MK is always nuts during a major holiday week. In the future, try EPCOT as an alternative. It's so spread out that the crowd issue isn't as stressful, and you can take advantage of the AC with all the countries attractions. ::MinnieMo :earsboy: :earsboy: ::MinnieMo

Good for you for dealing with all that with a positive attitude. :goodvibes I really think that can make or break a vacation.

well try going in september you can walk on any rideduring the morning its so cool :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
