I was able to snag a 7:05 reservation for CRT for our party of 7 on a MNSSHP night. We are not going to the party and planned for that to be our pool day.

Will they let me enter the park around 6:30-6:45? Will I have any problems at all? I know we will have to leave as soon as we are done dinner.

I've heard that you can have an ADR UP TO but NOT AFTER 7 pm if you are not going to the party. The restaurant won't seat you.

But, I have not attempted this myself. So YMMV.

You need park tickets to get in also, they will not allow you to enter just for dinner. Not sure if you have tickets for that day since you mentioned it was your pool day.

It didn't give you a warning? I just tried to book a 7:00 CRT and it warned me we would need party tickets to be able to go to it.

I'm wondering about this as well. I got a 7pm for BOG on a party night. We will be in the park that day, but no party tickets that day. How early can you check in for an ADR?

We do have park tickets for that day and there could have been a warning, but I didn't see it. I was so excited to get a CRT for 7 I was trying to quickly book it.

i would be surprised if they sat you after 7:00 as that's when the party starts and CRT doesn't typically sit ADRs on time, at least not in our prior experiences.

If that was your pool day and you had no plans to go to the park then the ADR is useless to you. You will have to purchase either a day ticket or a party ticket to use the ADR anyway. Might as well enjoy the day at the pool and then head to the party that evening as its the cheaper of the 2 tickets. You can go in at 4pm and enjoy the event!

No, she will have to purchase a PARTY ticket to use this ADR. Any guest holding a day ticket only won't be seated if they have an ADR after the party starts, even if they check in before 7:00.

I think this is one of the crappiest moves that Disney could have pulled on guests because so many are likely to be confused.

Note the underlined. Thats exactly what I suggested, a party ticket. If she checked in at 6:45, she could use a day time ticket though.

Also, this is obviously a fubar on Disney's part. At this point they are going to honor these reservations since you are told to check in 15 mins early. They are not going to be turning all these people away and have to pay overhead to go back and issue refunds for no show charges for this many people. Just can't see it happening. And they will be charged a no show if they don't place an order for a meal. I would imagine this would only apply to ADR's to where your 15 minute early check in hits before 7pm, so ADR's up to 7:15pm and then I'm sure you'll be escorted directly to the gates. And with the CM's giving conflicting information on the phone it makes it worse. Definite flop on Disneys part and they will rectify it by letting these people dine. I just don't see any other way around it.

I hope they prove me wrong, but don't see how they can without pee'ing off a lot of people (who have a right to be miffed)

If there is a warning when you book, then I wouldn't chance it and I would call and confirm. I have read that only reservations up till 6:55 are allowed without a party ticket.

Likewise, but from what Im reading many of these people are not getting a warning and when they do call they are getting conflicting info. Its just a big ole mess, if you ask me.

I would not chance it. The reason folks are able to book these 7 PM ADR's on party nights is because people who are going to the party do not want to lose party time dining. You can check in early if you have a day ticket but I have read that if the ADR is at 7 or after, and you do not have a Party ticket, you will not be seated. I have heard this is a pretty firm decision.

Yes it is. I feel badly if folks end up turned away due to misinformation.

As stated in another thread, check your email confirmation and see if it says you need the hard ticket for the party. If it does, then yeah, you will be out of luck. Its the 7pm ADRs I think will be the real issue, but with the early check in. I don't know. Its confusing. Hope someone reports back on this when the parties start.

No, I'm sorry this is not correct. Even if she checks in at 6:45 and does not have a party ticket, she will be told that she cannot be seated for the ADR because it falls during the party. She will be asked to leave the park, or asked to purchase party tickets if it's not sold out. I assume since she checked in, she wouldn't be charged the no-show fee (and in CRT's case, will be credited back the price of the meal), but she won't be seated without a party ticket, even if she checks in early. That's why they warn that you MUST have a party ticket to take the ADR.

I made a 7:05 reservation for CRT earlier today for a party night (already have our MNSSHP tickets), and I got a warning when I booked and in my confirmation email. (From the confirmation email: Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event.)
