The one menu that has looked really appealing to both me and my husband is 1900 Park Fare. Unfortunately the only ressie we were able to get is at 7:05PM on our MK day, 9/23. I keep checking for any dinner ressie to open up for Sunday 9/22 so I can switch, but haven't yet had any luck.

It is unrealistic to do the Wishes dessert party that same night? Wishes is at 9, so the party will start at 8. Will we be too full from dinner to enjoy it? It is just the 2 of us, how long should dinner take at 1900PF, and when do you think we can make it back to MK by?

I think you may be pushing it time wise, we haven't been a party of two for ten years now, so I don't remember what that may be like!!! But I think it's a matter of personal preference as far as appetite goes. Are you going so that you can max out the number of desserts that you get? Or, are you going for the experience and enjoy the right to splurge ridiculously for vacation? Personally, I feel like vacation should be a time to relax, be comfortable, and maybe even spend what would normally be unacceptable in real life! (As long as you can pay the bills when you get home ;) lol) There's nothing worse for me than a cheap vacationer! Lol. Just not sure time wise. Hope you get it figured out! :)

Thanks, I think I've figured an alternative plan out in case this doesn't pan out. I'd really like to be able to enjoy all the aspects of the dessert party, including the ability to eat as many sweets as I can, so I'm not going to do both on the same night.

We weren't planning on making Sunday a park day because we don't know when my husbands meeting will be out (the reason we are going to Orlando), but we'll probably end up doing the dessert party and the parade Sunday night so we can focus on the rides on Monday. Just waiting for the September reservations to open up for the party.

I can almost bet on that not happening for you :( We went in November during a VERY low-crowd week, and had a very late 800pm rez at 1900 and we didn't even get seated until 845pm. It's a buffet, which can be as fast as you'd like, but then you have to get back over to MK, which you may be fighting others trying to get over there for Wishes as wel.

Are you going for the characters? If not, why not try Crystal Palace? right IN the park? If you really insist on 1900 then I think you're being smart, doing them on separate days, just to be safe.
