6th grade research topic - any brainstorming ideas?

DS and I have been brainstorming a topic for his independent research project. He can use internet, has to use the school library no help from home. The school library is lacking, so it has to be something fairly basic. Can be any topic, Science, history, math, etc. Any bright ideas?

What are his best subjects? What sparks his interest the most?

There are several web sites that have lists of ideas. Just do some searches on Science projects or research paper for the grade and you should find something.

Go with something that he is interested in or curious about. Then it doesn't seem like such a chore. I've seen bunches of science/social studies projest on Titanic (many different avenues there), space, WWII, the Salem Witch Trials, genealogy, Kennedy assassination, etc. He will really do best in something that he has great interest in.

Kallison, do you have your copy of Signs yet? Got mine yesterday, but haven't watched it yet. I did see the movie this summer and loved it.
