Today was the day my family was joining me in Florida. I left the condo about 9am and headed west on I-4 toward Tampa. I wanted to check out the Hard Rock Casino so that was my first stop. It is a pretty large casino but only offers slots, video poker and live poker. Being a blackjack player, I was disappointed. I was hoping to spend a couple of hours playing until my family's plane arrived.
I wandered through the casino and very briefly played a video poker machine. Apparently, the time change screwed up their computer system and all of the slots and machines were malfunctioning. So I left the casino, grabbed lunch and headed for the airport.
DW and DD's flight was on-time and I picked them up just after 1:00pm. We headed back toward Disney area and stopped at Orlando Premium Outlets. That place was packed. The parking lot was nuts. Cars parked everywhere, including on the curbs and grassy areas. We actually did get a parking spot, only to walk into the food court and find crazy lines, so we ended up turning around and leaving. We went to Shoney's for lunch before going to the condo.
After DW and DD got settled, we went over to DTD. We did some shopping and browsing before having dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express. DW and I both thought that had gone downhill a bit. She had the spinach salad that was little more than a bowl of spinach. It was supposed to have radicchio, walnuts, cheese, etc. It had barely anything besides spinach. I got the linguini which was okay, but not as good as it used to be and didn't taste fresh. It seemed more like it had been made in advance and kept warm.
We were all tired, so we made it an early night and went back to the condo to relax and hit the sack.
Day 4 will be at EPCOT.
