666 Points?

Would you buy a contract for 666 points?

  • Sure, I'd buy it. It's just a number between 665 &667

  • No, I think that I will pass on that one.

  • I don't see what the problem would be.

I saw a contract for sale that has 666 points. I don't know that I would buy that contract if someone gave me the money. What is up with that one? I think that I would almost be scared to meet that person.

Well, I'd bet that they don't have any problems with it being too warm .....

There is NO WAY in...you know where that we would buy that contract, even if we had the $$$$$. LOL. I once heard someone say that when she and her hubby went to buy their wedding bands the jeweler rang up the total and it came to $666.00. They refused to pay that and insisted that he take an extra buck! Why would someone have bought that amount in the first place? Must be totally oblivious.

do people pay 14 points a night for a villa that is listed at 13 per night?

if so they can transfer the 14 points to me and I will make the 13 point reservation in thier name and use those points as a "service fee" and put them towards my vacation stay! LOL

a number is a number is a number.

I saw that contract quite some time ago and it creeped me out too. My guess is they bought that many on purpose.

Not in a million years, had a friend that once got room # 666 in Vegas, worst run of luck I ever saw, could not believe they had that room number in such a superstitious town. I also think it illustrates the difficulty in selling one large contract as opposed to a 2 or 3 smaller ones.

ITA. And superstition is superstition!

Wish I could AFFORD that many points and had the time to use them!

If you bought it you could always say the devil made me do it. :p

Could go on but, I will stop there so as to be good.

Remember, today is Easter and the true semblance of of this day sure beats out any thing else.

I'm just glad this goofball is trying to get out of DVC.

Let him go "bedevil" the likes of the RCI timeshare program. :p

(Nick...love your smilely faces. You seem to have one for every occassion!)

My DH and I stayed in room 666 for our first romantic getaway. Since that time we often request that room number. For us its been a very lucky number. Ten plus years, two kids later, and our number of the beast start doesn't seem to have done us any harm.

I don't consider the number to carry any real bad luck (I try to push away superstition and teach my children to do the same).

But I have to wonder about the judgement of somebody who'd buy that amount; did he or she give any thought to what it would look like on the resale market? It's like buying a house in a bad location. Why do something that would make bailing out more difficult if there's trouble ahead?

It's a little weird if it's one contract. If it's a number that came about because of add-ons, it may be purely a coincidence.

If someone wants to foot the bill, I'll add it to what I have and it will no longer be 666 but just part of a very happy 1,000+ owner's stable. :)

Who is brave enough to call and find out what the deal is with the 666 point contract?

Just to add, we are not just generally superstitious people. We are not scared of black cats, ladders, broken mirrors and the like. We don't believe in "luck", good or bad. Everything is God's plan. But we have read Revelation. I would be interested to know if they bought that many on purpose or if it was add-ons. How much is the asking price?

didja also notice that the person had initially listed it for $66 a point. Just a 6 lover I expect. Maybe born on June 6th 1966?

Just to add, as an avid golfer I believe in luck (hope this doesn’t make me a bad parent :p ), how else to explain why I haven’t made it to the PGA tour yet? (Besides of course my driving accuracy, short game, putting, etc.) For me, it’s like avoiding walking under a ladder when it’s just as easy to walk around it, it’s not that I’m superstitious, but I’d avoid buying that contract because its just as easy to get another one. One thing I have found to be true, the harder I work at something the luckier I seem to get, what a coincidence.
