My husband told me he would take me anyplace for my 50th birthday. Because I was born the same year as Disneyland, (and to his great surprise) I decided I wanted to spend it at the Grand Californian, and enjoy the park. At the time, they had 50-year gold Mickey Mouse Ear hats!
Well, the 65th is coming up. Does anyone (maybe the moderator) know if they will have 65th Anniversary Mouse hats? I am going to try and attend, but I have moved out of California, so it will be a trek. I would love to go.
I will be forever thankful for my parents NOT letting me go all the time like many of my friend's children. Kids today get bored with it because they go so often. But Disneyland is STILL exciting for me. I appreciate the days when the ONLY place you could see Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Tinkerbell and all the characters (except Sunday nights on TV) was the park. Made them even more "magical" and special.

Great memories there. I hope the innocence of the place can continue.
ps - even though I chose Disneyland and not some far-off land, doesn't mean I save my husband any money though!
