6500 block of Category 8 !!!!

6556 rocks - do a search on it and you will see several posts from me an others who have stayed in it.

Shhh...Don't tell anyone else about how quiet this section is, or everyone will want to stay here. Rarely have noticed much movement. The forward elevators are convenient, and not as crowded as those midship. We stayed in 6512 twice, and will be going back to the same stateroom next year.

Just got back today (6/19) and stayed in 6510. Please don't tell everyone how quiet it was. I only heard the anchors ( I think) around 9:00 one morning. It was great being directly above the kids clubs to walk DD one flight down.

THat's great to hear as we'll be staying in 6522 on the 7/31 Wonder!

How is the 6540 block? We have 6540, 6541, and 6543 reserved on the Magic next May. We booked while on the Wonder this past May. I felt kind of bad when we got home and found out that 6541 and 6543 sleep 4 each, especially since one room will have only my 2 daughters and the other only my MIL. But moving these rooms would be a huge hassle since 2 were reserved through DCL on the ship and the other with points through DVC.

We have 6540 for next May, so all of your comments are very encouraging. We've always had Cat. 5s on Deck 7. After realizing that there isn't a difference aside from location in Cat.5s and 6s, what's the big deal having to walk one more flight of stairs!

We're in 6323 this December and I wish I could find someone who has stayed in this inner hallway area. Looks strange to me, but...

CRSNDSNY which cruise are you staying in 6540? We are booked in that cabin on the Magic for May 15 (04). If you are on the Magic and go before us you will have to send me a full report.

That is SO funny! I just switched from that Cabin on the Magic May 15 (04) to the same cabin a week later on the Western May 22. WOW! What a coincidence! Look's like you'll have to give me a report! LOL

My cabin is along abouts where 6510 & 6512 are......
My Passport Book says they only sleep 3 ???? & we need 4.
Is this really true? or do they have the pulldown ceiling beds????
Please let me know if I need to call DCL!!! thanks.

don't worry about the passporter === some of their room info was incorrect.

Rm 6512 sleeps four. One large bed (also separates to make 2 small beds), sleeper/sofa, and pull down bed. DD5 won't allow Daddy to sleep on the pulldown! She insists it's just for her!!

I was just in 6510 and friends in 6512. Both rooms sleep four (pull down bunk). Enjoy the quiet (and convenience to Oceaneers)

CRSNDSNY, that is a coincidence! When did you change the reservation? We booked the 2 inside cabins while on the cruise and had her check for availablity for cat 6 rooms close by. That was in the middle of May. She said to try for 6540 or 6542 (both open) when we hit our 11 month window for DVC. We just booked the room on June 16th. It would be funny if you had booked it and changed the reservation all in that time span.

I just looked at my emails with my travel agent and it was either June 9th or 10th that the change was made. Neat!

Here's another former resident of 6556 - what a great location! Any of the 6500 rooms should be good - the only exception would be across from the laundry room - but I'm not sure that's in the 6500 block...
