I have up to 183 Villas at the Grand Californian (VGC) points for rent.

August 2015 Use Year points
Requested reservations need to fall between August 1, 2015 & July 31, 2016
My asking price is $16.50pp.

Contract Details: I have been a DVC owner since 2006, and I have lots of rental experience. I can provide references upon request. I work with a contract and all documents are signed electronically via email using a professional service called DocuSign.

Payment terms: 50% deposit upon being able to confirm your rental (payment to be made by check with-in 7 calendar days via USPS 2 day mail w/delivery receipt) and the balance is due 90 days prior to check-in.

Please send a PM or post here with dates & room category you prefer (i.e. studio, 1 bdrm, 2 bdrm or GV). After it is determined that I can secure your dates I like to hammer out the final details by email or by phone.

Thanks for your consideration! I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Things You Might Not Know:
If you are traveling to Disneyland and want to stay at the VGC it is best to plan your trip and secure a room between 11 and 7 months prior to your check-in date. The VGC is the smallest DVC resort and only has a maximum of 71 rooms for rent. The resort has 23 studios, 23 one-bdrms, 23 two-bdrms and 2 grand villas. All the studio/one-bdrms can make up 2 bdrm lock-off combination. Because of the small size of the VGC, this resort is one of the resorts in the DVC network where having the "home advantage" booking window is a must to safely secure your travel dates.

To compare a DVC VGC rental to a Grand Californian Hotel cash room.
Renting a studio from 12/27/15 to 01/01/16, over NYE (the same would be true for Christmas) the costs would be as follows:

150 DVC points (30 points per night) @ $16.50 = $2,475
(tax & daily self-parking included)

5 nights cash at the Disney Grand Californian Hotel (in the least expensive room) w/tax = $4,683
(daily self-parking fees not included)

Kudos for the $PPP. I think we give away our points too cheap sometimes. Good Luck!

If you wanted to move the points quickly, you made the right call for yourself :goodvibes And of course you always run the risk at a higher price of not finding a renter. I love, love, love DL, but my kids are tired of it and want to travel to other destinations. As you can see in my signature we tried to use up a lot of our points ourselves by booking a GV in Aulani for 2 weeks, but I still have more points to use up. We are considering an Adventures by Disney vacation. We'll have to wait an see what happens.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Hello

Hello, can you give me a realistic PPR at the GCV during 10/29-11/2....I'm from FLA but looking to experience CALI during DLR's 60th BDAY Celebration.....

My PP is $16.50pp. I rented 467 points at that price out of the 650 I had advertised on the board. I realize I am asking a premium price, but this resort is the smallest DVC resort in the network. There are only 71 total rooms available for booking at this resort. It is very difficult without being able to book in the owner advantage window to secure your dates successfully.

DVC Rental for your dates = $363 per night vs. GCH cash price through Disney = $641 per night
Still a savings of $278 per night @ $16.50pp.

The least expensive cash room at the Disneyland Hotel is $552 per night and cash room at Paradise Pier is $434 per night through Disney.

If you want to stay on property at the GCH, a DVC rental is still the least expensive way to accomplish your goal. If you want to stay off property, you will pay substantially less than staying on property at a DLR hotel.

Thank you for your reply, and I meant no malice behind my post for a "realistic" PPR. I understand and respect the concept of "supply and demand", but I was honestly ignorant of the "premium" that was added to a VGC ressie. I have researched this property before, but failed to factor in the added "luxury tax" of staying there during the 60th celebration. I'm exploring other slightly "cheaper" options on DVC, but will be content with your "highly competitive" rates. Thank you for your communication and info, and maybe we'll do business soon!

Robert

I didn't think there was malice in your question, and I didn't think there was malice in my answer. I shared information and logic behind my price per point.

FWIW the PP is not tied to the 60th anniversary, nor is it a "luxury tax" it is my standard price and has been for several years, even before the brokers raise their price for this resort to $16pp. I offer flexible payments, the ability to change your reservation if you can't travel, and have a slew of references you can check.

Have a great trip to DL! I'm sure you will find something that works for you.
