Ok, I'm am trying to figure out what to pack for our trip in 10 days. So far the weather is saying anywhere from 65-68 partly/sunny. I've never been to Florida in February so I don't really know what to pack. I know pack for both cool nights and warm days. I am more concerned with my little ones.

What would you put a 1 year old and a 3 year old in all day to wear? Right now I am thinking pants and longsleeve t-shirts... What do youthink?

We are leaving at the end of the month, and although it is still cooler right now, I am hoping it will warm up a few degrees by then! :sunny:

I am from Ontario and I see you are from Ohio which means it has been very cold lately. If we were to leave today the weather would still be a drastic change from what we have experienced and we would be in shorts no matter what. Anything beats having to wear heavy winter coats!

With little ones in mind I would suggest layers. It may mean having to bring more clothes on your trip but at this time of year that is what needs to happen has it can be sunny and very warm one day and cool and rainy the next. :umbrella:

Start with tshirts, then maybe a longsleve sweatshirt and then a coat with pants or maybe capri type pants. There is also the type of pant with zippers at different levels so you can turn them into shorts if you need to.

Fortunately with girls we are counting on capris and maybe 1/2 pairs of pants and shorts for sure (but my youngest is nine and she sweats alot so I am not worried about her).

Good luck - I hope you have large suitcases! :wave2:

I was in Orlando in January for a family emergency. It was chilly to cold to me.I think it was in the upper 50s. The damp makes it feel cooler than it probably is. I was glad for my jeans and jacket. However, you never know what to expect with the weather there so just be prepared for either cool or warm!

If you are from Ohio 65-68 may feel very warm to you. But I would layer the clothing in case you are warm. So bring some ling sleeve shirts and jackets. Long pants would be a good idea.

Hi, We have been 2x to WDW in Feb. both times my boys did shorts(their shorts are the long type) and t-shirts(short sleeve) with a sweatshirt in early AM and at night. My DD and I would do capris or shorts with a t-shirt or 3/4 sleeve shirt and a sweatshirt. We would all wear a Fleece type jacket on the plane or car ride to WDW and I would pack wind/waterproofproof jackets. We would also wear jeans or pants and a long sleeve shirt for the plane ride.So I would say some pants/jeans and some shorts,t-shirts are fine if you have a few sweatshirts to pack.If it rains it will be chilly, but 68 with sun is pretty warm! This is a GREAT time of year to visit WDW, especially if you live in a COLD climate! When we went last year my DH and I sat in the sun by the pool every afternoon while my sons were in the pool. Have FUN!! :flower: :flower: :flower: Joan

We'll be there next week with our boys (ages 5, 3 and 11 months). I'm thinking that I'll start out by putting them in jeans and short-sleeved t-shirts, and then sweatshirts on top. Then they can shed the sweatshirt as the day warms up. If that's too warm, I'll put them in shorts the next day... I'm brining a little of everything! :sunny:

I'll be there Saturday. I plan to put DS2 in those pants that have the zippers around the knee part. So you can make them pants in the morning and unzip them and voila they are shorts. Who ever thought of this idea is a real genius. I leave in 84 hours. :moped:  :Pinkbounc :earsgirl: :earsboy: :cool1:

Thanks for all the suggestions... Like you said anything is better than Ohio right now. The only thing that would depress me if it would rain. It would be very hard to tote my little boys around in rainy cold weather... I can handle 65-70 and Sunny(Perfect weather IMO). Last year we went at the end of May and it was SOOOOOOO hot that it was almost miserable at times. Unless you were swimming of course.

I think I am going to pack a lot of capri's for myself (Yeah don't have to show my white legs!!) and the boys light jackets and mixture of shorts and athletic pants... DH of course will wear short regardless.

I would do long pants or capris with short sleeve shirts and sweaters or sweatshirts, in case they get chilly in the early morning or evening. Also, socks and tennis shoes.

Sounds great to me cuz right now out of my window, I see gray drizzly skies!!

I would second the capris and the layering

another ohioan here....we are outta here next week and i second the weather...it is lookin pretty good to be right now..we are to get more snow and ..this weather..lordy lordy...i cant takes no more of the cold!!!

We'll be leaving next week and hoping for weather in the low 70's. I've been watching the 15-day forecast on accuweather.com. I was really excited yesterday when it forecasted sunny days (including one with "brilliant sunshine"!) However, I was disappointed to find this morning those same days are mostly cloudy and the day forecasted with the brightest sun is now the day forecasted for possible rain. :confused3

I guess it's really still too early.

I know exactly what you mean...I've been doing the same and came to the realization that the only way I can predict what the weather will be like when I get there (2/9/05)is to step outside and look up.

Ditto, as soon as we were 10 days out I started checking the weather. My husband thinks I am crazy.

I'm also leaving in 10 days. I guess layering clothing is the way to pack. At this point, in my area we've gotten a "heat wave of 35 degrees" after below-freezing weather the last several weeks--anything should feel warmer. We do hope to swim, hope the All Star Resorts pools are heated.
