Would somebody PLEASE turn off that stupid car alarm!!! It is storming here, and whenever lightning strikes...the car alarm goes off. We live by railroad tracks, and whenever a train goes by...the car alarm goes off. IF their precious car ever did get broken into, nobody would look because...the car alarm ALWAYS goes off.

Trying to get the kids to sleep during a storm is hard enough, whenever they hear the car alarm, they think it is a tornado siren:rolleyes:

Sorry...needed to vent...thanks for listening...I hope it's not your car I'm complaining about.

Wow, aside from the car alarm I wish I was there!

I love falling asleep to the sound of trains and/or thunder.

ours used to go off in the middle of the night... I had to sleep with the clicker so I could shut it off until the technician could come out to repair it... what a pain. the funny thing was I had fallen asleep with the tv on and an alarm was going off on the tv show and I was clicking the remote trying to shut it off!!

One more rant: My neighbors used to let their little kid play in the car, he'd set the alarm off when he opened the doors and they'd let it go off forever!! Grrr..

Actually, the train is kinda nice:D I like storms too...but not when the kids are still awake. And, well, you know my feelings about car alarms...

Speaking of neighbor's kids...did anyone see the video of the 3 year old playing with a gun behind his parents car (while the parents were shooting targets?)

Must be nice to have the rain. Our part of Texas hasn't seen any yet. I have been having to water the yard everyday.
I don't like to listen to car alarms either. Our neighbor has a house alarm that goes off everytime the weather gets bad.

Wow, a HOUSE alarm?!! I've never heard of one that sensitive.

And yes, the rain is welcome (although we've been in a flash flood warning all afternoon)

In Texas, we don't do anything small...it can't rain just enough...we have to have a downpour!

We have a banker that lives next door, and they go out of town quite a bit. They have an outside audible alarm that goes off until the police show up to call the phone number to reset it.

I know what you mean about TX weather. Here in central TX we received 15 inches of rain from the last week in May through the first part of July. We haven't had a drop since. You wouldn't think we would already need it, but the sun is cooking my yard pretty fast. Just send some of your rain this way.

Hey friend -

You and the family could have come over here and spent the night ::yes::. I hope the alarm is off now. And the rain is great. We sat out on the porch for about an hour enjoying it. Everything is going to turn green again :).
