60 day+ FP+ priorities???

Frozen is a great choice at EPCOT and you are probably getting it for kids, however ifs it unavailable definitely go for SOarin', I thought my kids would be scared of Soarin. They love Soarin now they said this year they would rather go on Soarin than Frozen.
I agree with most other people here for the rest of the parks.

We recently did 60+8 in early December with moderate crowds (except for opening week ROTR). We got SDD at 60+7, nothing for SDD at 60+3 (our other DHS day). FOP was easier at 60+5. SDMT and Space Mountain were easy to get at 60+6. We had an 8:05 Be Our Guest breakfast that worked out great at 60+2. We did 7DMT a couple of times before park opened and did Peter Pan right at park opening. We did two Epcot days. One was part Epcot Pareto AK at 60+2. Rope dropped Soarin’ and only used on FP for Spaceship Earth before getting Everest and Dinosaur at AK. Our last Epcot day was 60+8 because we wanted to see Gary Sinise with a Candlelight Processional dining package. Half wanted Test Track and half wanted Soarin’ and we got those easily anlong with Mission Space and Living with the Land. Overall things worked out well.

Thought I’d chime in with my experience! I just did my FP+ selections on Christmas Eve for my late-Feb trip, and I can confirm that yes, 7am EST is the time.

Be up before then though, because you’ll want to be ready to start right at the top of the hour. I got a FOP FP+ for mid-morning at 60+5 out, but about 15 minutes later I went to see if I could switch to a different time and all the times were already taken. I was lucky to get 7DMT at 60+1, but it’s a later time (5:25pm) and I still haven’t been able to switch it for any sooner window. Every minute counts with these. I mean, don’t get scared from my experience, but just be mindful.

What I did to make it not so overwhelming was make a little color coordinated spreadsheet listing in order of importance (and popularity) what rides I wanted FP+ for, also making note if I wanted them for more than one day. Then when the morning came, all I did was go down the list and do each FP in accordance with the day I’d be there. I even went a little overboard and made a side list of what Tier 2 FP+ I would want. Probably didn’t have to do that, but it felt good to know I wouldn’t have to attempt to think at 7am which passes to get. I wanted to quickly make my choices and go back to bed for a little longer. It was Christmas Eve after all. :rotfl:

But anyways, here’s a screenshot of the spreadsheet in case you were interested.

This helps so much, and I LOVE the addition of the Tier 2 notes. I guess with the tier systems it does make it a little easier too (I am not rushing to grab a tier 2 fast pass).

Looks great! Thank you for sharing. Mine is currently just a list...date, ride, time I want to get. Hardest to get at the top of the list, easier/tier two at the end. I may have to color code them for the visual.

Random question: are FP+ getting harder to book? People more educated on the process and planning? A couple years ago I planned a trip during peak season (between New Years and Christmas...massive crowds) and got everything I wanted ride wise at 60+1 Frozen and 7DMT), though we didn’t do AK, and Toy Story and Star Wars Land weren’t open yet. And last New Years, I got everything except FoP, 7DMT, and SDD at 30 days out. Or are those 3 just so popular that they’re really hard to get?

I've notice a difference, but I thought it was the day of the week my 60 day window opened. For example the year that it opened mid-week, I got everything I wanted. However, when it opened on the weekend, I felt like I struggled more. I just assumed most people had trouble making fast passes and getting ready for work ;) But I could completely believe the theory that the internet if full of tips and tricks on how to get what you want and now everyone knows.

Update: I got everything I wanted around the time I wanted! Plenty of FoP options available at 60+4 and 7DMT at 60+2. The only FP+ that was unavailable was SDD at 60+1, but I was leaning toward TSMM anyway (my 7yo doesn’t like roller coasters 🙄). Thanks for your advice!
