Boma breakfast....AHHHH, it makes me want to stay there just for that. Without a car, it is just too far away to do if we are staying elsewhere, but I will be there for dinner at least once every trip *LOVE*

I kind of like the "remoteness" of AKL. We've never done Boma for dinner...I'm very fussy and some of those spices scare me.

All caught up! I enjoyed the pictures of your room at the Dolphin... we've decided to take that one off our list of options since there is no Magical Express service, but I wouldn't hesitate to consider it in the future.

Yes, that would be a problem for us as well with not having ME...espsecially at the crazy amount they are charging for car rentals; I can't imagine renting one for our two full weeks.

Thanks for sharing the picture of Mark's Wedge Salad... I'm a big fan, but I agree with Mark, that one has too much other stuff on it!

Mark loves his wedge salads and will probably have one when we go out to Hugo's for dinner tomorrow; but he just thought that one was too weird.

Free parking is one of the reasons I get an AP. Staying offsite and having 8 park days on this past trip, the AP saved us over $100 just in parking!

I wish I had known that sooner. Great savings for youa nd the family.

Can't wait to hear about your day at Epcot!

I'm going to try to get it started after lunch.

You really get spoiled when you can drive yourself rather than have to wait on the buses.

I'm a firm believer in driving when we have a car.

That AKL building still stuns me every time I walk in there.

It does me too...and we've been numerous times now.

Kona coffee kind of ruins you for everything else. So much better than Starbucks, you know? :rotfl:

Even I will admit that the coffee at Kona is better than my Starbucks. Now don't all you guyus :faint::faint::faint: now.

::yes::

We have the huge credit card bill to prove it!

I just paid mine off. ::yes::

Making your trip that much better! :thumbsup2

No No No...I was sad not to ride it. I'll have to convince Avery to ride it with me a couple of times next month.

:cool1::woohoo:

Too bad it didn't stay in my pocket long.

:headache:

I did, Mark, I did. :)

Oh man, I could totally enjoy the Boma buffet right now. Sidney is still mad at me for trying it without him. :rotfl2: I loved the juice. Our server told me this was different than the one served at O'Hana. They tasted very similar to me though. I wish I could remember the thing we all tried that was so good. It was almost like a dessert cake with nuts and all in it. That thing was heavenly.

Ron really wants to try Yachstman, though now he's not sure between that and Le Cellier. Your filet mignon looked delicious.

When I last left you, we had just pulled into the parking lot at Epcot. We made our walk to the entrance and I went through the bag line which seemed to take forever. Seriously, can they not figure out a faster way to do this? I met up with Mark and he went to stand by one of the turnstiles for when they opened the gates. Just around 8:30, the gates opened and we were in.

First picture:

We were heading towards a specific area to get a Fastpass when we passed this guy. Mark LOVES his elephants as we all know, so I had to take a picture:

We arrived at our destination and got these:

Fastpasses secured, we went to Listen to the Land.

After listeninig to the land, we headed over to one of my favorites (sorry Mark):

We stopped and made a postcard and sent it to the kids and then Mark had to stop to model this:

We left the Imagination Building to head to our next destination when we saw these cute guys:

We were on our way now to Mark's favorite:

I can just hear the Mine Mine's now. I think when I'm there next month with Mary, I'll call Mark and let him listen. :rotfl2::rotfl2: I am so evil.

Some photos of our voyage (although not very good):

Continued in next post

After departing our voyage, we went to see the fish. We got there just in time for feeding time so Mark was glued to the windows.

A few photos of some of the fish in the sea:

Manatee (they weren't there when we were there in December for some reason):

It was now time to use our Soarin' fastpass. Mark insisted on the next picture on our way back to The Land:

And then it was time for

We enjoyed our flight as always. But I do have to say that the spots on the screen are becoming quite a distraction and take away from the whole effect of the film.

Up next...we finally see some F&G.

You must take Sidney...he will love it. We've never done Ohana so I can't compare, but I do love that juice. They now bring me a big glass instead of a small one. :lmao::lmao:

Ron really wants to try Yachstman, though now he's not sure between that and Le Cellier. Your filet mignon looked delicious.

We've done both. We used to LOVE LeCellier. However, after it turned into a "signature" restaurant, we found the quality went down and we couldn't make our substitutions. We much prefer Yachtsman now.

Just :wave2: to let you know I'm still here :)
You know I love to read your stuff but I don't post all the time, especially with the last month I've had.

This particular update is getting me even more excited, I can't wait to see/share Figment with my girl.

Awesome! Soarin, LWTL, Figment and the Seas all in one update! They are all must dos for me at Epcot.

You got a picture of my DHs chickens on LWTL! I can never get a picture of them to come out.

I love the one picture of the sea turtle, so cute.

I agree that the spots on Soarin are distracting. I did discover though when I rode it three times on my solo trip that the spots are only visable from certain seats. So depending on where you sit, you may or may not see the spots.

Oh, and the Boma question you asked. I really have no idea why DH didn't want to eat there. I e-mailed him links to the menus for all the restaurants I would eat at and he said yes or no to each one. It's funny because he's not a picky eater but he is very picky about restaurants he likes to eat at.

Sounds like a perfect morning in Epcot. I am really looking forward to seeing that park this summer. When I try to plan my schedule I have myself going to Epcot like every day! :lmao:

Another cute hat picture for Mark!

We left the Imagination Building to head to our next destination when we saw these cute guys:

Awww The ducks even know how to make a Mickey...

Awesome way to spend the morning.

I agree - the black flickers are really bad now. Some first-timers think it's supposed to be something that's part of the movie until they figure out after a few minutes that it's just a distracting glitch.

The wonderful Boma aroma lures me down those stairs every time!

After settling up the bill, we headed back into the lobby where I took a few more pictures and we went into the gift shop...one of THE best gift shops at all of the resorts in my opinion:

Yay for Zawadi! It is a destination within itself, since it has such unique things other than the usual touristy stuff.

All caught up!

What a fun night on the Boardwalk you had!

AKL is so beautiful, and Boma looks delicious (another restaurant I haven't yet tried)

I love how Mark always poses with hats and stuffies :goodvibes What a good sport!

I just love Soarin and we only got to do it once last trip. And I love Figment, too. We all do. It is a must do whenever we go and there is never a line.

Sing with me now .....

I-MAG-ination !!

Looks like you Epcot day was gorgeous. It is gloomy and cool here today. I don't have any plans to do much, so I will just sit here all day and rotate the laundry crop and catch up on everyone's TR's !!

It was now time to use our Soarin' fastpass....

WHEN are they ever going to refurbish that screen?? :confused3 It is ruining what is one of THE best attractions in all of WDW!!

"Mine, Mine, Mine" never, ever gets old!

Kathy

Can't wait to see F&G pics...hope you loved it, the work they do during that time of year is incredible!

Soarin's still my favorite !!!I am with you in loving Figment !!! Also LOVE "MINE MINE" too !!! I guess I just love it all !!!They are holding you to the FP times now aren't they????

I found my cell phone pictures on photobucket. I'll post them up to where I am on TR and will come back later with responses (we're going to dinner with good friends to a new restaurant, Hugo's Frog Bar.
