We continued to look at the lights nearest to us as they went through the first round of the music. Then, before we knew it, it was our turn to see Santa Goofy:

Nice pictures with Santa-Goofy.
Next time I’m down there during the holidays I need to get similar shots with my patron saint.

After finishing with Santa Goofy, we continued walking the Streets to see more lights and to hear the music played over and over. Actually, I don't think we were walking, I think we were doing a mixture of dancing, gliding and jiving.

“Oh stewardess, I speak jive.”
She said that they were having a great time…

“Golly!”

sorry ‘bout that… variations of movie quotes just have a way of popping out like that. OK, I’ll hush up now…

How about some more Osborne lights? No, well too bad...it's my TR and I loved them and I'm going to share them.

Quite the despot, aren’t we? :lmao:

And I do mean “we”…
I ruthlessly litter my TRs with whatever nonsense strikes my fancy while giving absolutely no thought to what the readers may want.

Of course, few folks read mine…
And you’re actually giving us what we really want anyway…
OK I now see that it’s just me that’s the despot here. :sad2: :rotfl2:

We patiently waited, well...maybe not quite so patiently...we were beat and starving...for our boat to take us to the Beach Club dock as we were celebrating Mark's 60th birthday with a very special dinner here:

Oooooo… this could be interesting.

We are walking to the Yacht Club…

Yep… but ya’ should’a just showed us the picture of the Christmas tree in the YC lobby and triple-dog-dared us to figure out where you were headed this time.

We were having dinner here:

Yachtsman! Yummmmmmm…
Well that would have given it away pretty quickly.

And although Nicki is in charge of the dining reviews, I had to post a photo of what was left of my meal -- it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!

And I’d have been using the chunks of that popover there to sop up all the rest of the goodness on that plate (well, even I wouldn’t go so far as to lick the plate in such a high class establishment… I’d think about it long and hard… just wouldn’t do it… I think…).

Unfortunately, we got back to the Coronado and the same group was creating the same mischief and we again

:sad2:
I guess that dope-slapping each of ‘em in turn was just not going to be a practical solution.

We had an early ADR the next morning for breakfast. The question would be: do the two youngsters of the group make it to breakfast with us?

Might depend on where the ADR was scheduled.
If it were, say… at the Kona, they’d be fools to miss out.
At least, I’d not be missin’ out on some of that good morning nosh (and the best coffee at WDW).

Until next time, have a wonderful weekend.

Working on it… You do the same!
Nice update. Gorgeous pictures of the lights.
Makes me want to go back.

soon
::yes::

Great Santa Goofy pics! We waited to see him too, we were in line for a while, and then it turns out, I hated how the pictures ended up! I'll still post them on my TR though, just because we waited so long! :rotfl2:

You can never have to many Osborne Lights pictures! I love the lights SO much, I've seen them 4 years in a row now, and I can't imagine kicking off the Christmas season without seeing them! :cool1:

I think the Yacht Club is SO beautiful at Christmas, I love all of the decorations and everything! I really have to try Yachtsman someday, I keep hearing it's fantastic! :thumbsup2

You got some awesome photos of the lights! I'm so jealous of your santa goofy photos! The line was so long that my friends wouldn't wait for him. Looks like you spent a good amount of time soaking it all in. I am also jealous Ot the Yachtsman steak house! The remains of your meal look fantastic! I love steak. Hope to eat there on one of my trips in the future.

What a great night! I love your Osborne lights and Santa Goofy pictures. Those lights are so breathtaking! And looks like you enjoyed your dinner at Yachtsman :goodvibes

Love all your pictures of the Osbourn lights! :goodvibes

I don't know how we missed Santa Goofy in Nov? I would of loved a picture with him! :confused3

I guess I need to add Yachtsman to our list of restaurants to try. Your empty plate has got me hungry. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Luv the lights pictures and luv Santa Goofy's setting in DHS. We saw him in Animal Kingdom in 2011.

Now I'm caught up!! You can't share too many Osborne lights photos! Love them. And to see Santa Goofy!! What great photos. :)

I am So Glad that you enjoyed your Yachtsman dinner for Marks b-day! I can't wait to go back there in a couple months.

Hmmmm.... not sure how much I could tolerate with the rowdy young 'uns at the pool.... :confused3

This is really such a wonderfully, memorable family/friends (like family) trip Kathy!

Oh the Osborne Lights look amazing! Can you believe that we missed the opening day of the lights when we were there for Thanksgiving many many years ago?

All of the Photopass pictures are so good! You can tell just how much ya'll are enjoying being together.

I really like the first group shot with Santa goofy such a nice pic and no amount of osborne light pics are ever enough so no worries :D

Thanks...I liked that one too. I'm glad everyone is enjoying the light pictures.

I love all of the Osborne Lights pics! :goodvibes

Sorry the POP Warner group was being a pain once again. POP Century had some of their overflow, but thankfully I never heard or even saw them outside of walking by them in the morning waiting for their bus to ESPN's WWoS.

Thanks; they continued to be a pain for at least another night or two.

Never too many Osborne light pictures! I felt like dancing just looking at them, they actually gave me chills for our next years trip. Which I can book in...25 days! Not that I'm counting.

I'm so glad you are going to see them this year.

Love love the Santa Goofy Pictures.

I'm so glad we waited for those...it was fun.

I have always wanted to try Yachtsman. Now I really really want to try it!

Maybe make that a "date night" dinner with Jeff on your trip.

What a bummer that you had to go report on the Pop Warner kids AGAIN, not what you want after a long and magical day.

At least they weren't as bad as the night before; I have a feeling security stuck around.

Love the light pics and yc pics. Looks like fun with Santa Goofy. Somehow we missed him too.

Sorry that you missed Santa Goofy, Tink. Hopefully he'll be back next year.

I love all your photos of the Osbourne lights. They make me excityed about our trip next Dec. I am a bit worried about the PW crowds though. But glad to see you all wore shorts and tese so it must be warm even at night. We usually go end of Jan and need sweatshirts at night. Great report so far

Have you ever seen before? If not, you will love them. Don't worry about the PW crowds...they did NOT affect the parks at all.

It was 82 almost every day we were there; it dipped down to the 60's at night; I think I only wore a t-shirt one night while we were there.

I definitely drink more on vacation thatn I do at home. Such a treat to relax and have a drink and not have to worry about driving or anything else for that metter.

I agree; I enjoy relaxing with a cocktail on vacation. At home, I'm so tired after work or cleaning that I don't have the energy.

See some surprises can be fun. ;)

Yes, I agree (depending on who is with you who might be uncomfortable about it :rotfl::rotfl:

Long Island Iced teas are just way too much alcohol. 4 clear liquors and then a tiny splash of coke for color. Too many in college turned me off to them.

I don't think I've ever had a Long Island Iced Tea.

I need to go back and coy the ingredients of the snowball. ::yes::

Let me know if you make one and what you think.

You guys got such great photopass pics! Love the Santa Goofy photos.

Thanks, Shannon.

I love the Osbourne Lights pics. I've never seen them so I have to live vicariously through TRs like yours. :goodvibes

Oh, I hope one day you get to see them yourself...they are spectacular.

I read the Yachtsman review in Nicki's report. Sounds fantastic. I've decided not to read ahead on her report though-don't want it to spoil the story you're telling. :thumbsup2

Nicki's got the easy part of the report...I've got all the days and detail. :lmao::lmao:

I never tire of the Osbourne lights! Lovely pictures and how cool that you got to pose with characters, too.

I was so excited when Nicki found out that Santa Goofy was going to be there...Mark loves Goofy.

I am glad to hear dinner was terrific. Yachtsman is on my list and actually may the location of choice for Denny's milestone birthday dinner as well. :thumbsup2

Mary Ellen, I would highly recommend it...it was the best meal of the trip in my opinion (and Mark already told me we are going back in August).

Nice pictures with Santa-Goofy.
Next time I’m down there during the holidays I need to get similar shots with my patron saint.

I would love to see a picture of you with your patron saint. :)

“Oh stewardess, I speak jive.”
She said that they were having a great time…

“Golly!”

sorry ‘bout that… variations of movie quotes just have a way of popping out like that. OK, I’ll hush up now…

This is NOT the Captain's TR just in case you wanted to know. :rotfl:

Quite the despot, aren’t we? :lmao:

And I do mean “we”…
I ruthlessly litter my TRs with whatever nonsense strikes my fancy while giving absolutely no thought to what the readers may want.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I thought I'd try to see if I could be as funny as you guys...it was the best I could come up with off the top of my head. ;)

Of course, few folks read mine…
And you’re actually giving us what we really want anyway…
OK I now see that it’s just me that’s the despot here. :sad2: :rotfl2:

I read your last one (had I known about others, I would have read. :goodvibes

Yep… but ya’ should’a just showed us the picture of the Christmas tree in the YC lobby and triple-dog-dared us to figure out where you were headed this time.

I figured you guys are all getting a little older and didn't to strain the brain. ;)

And I’d have been using the chunks of that popover there to sop up all the rest of the goodness on that plate (well, even I wouldn’t go so far as to lick the plate in such a high class establishment… I’d think about it long and hard… just wouldn’t do it… I think…).

I seriously considered it myself but I think I would have burst open if I took one more bite.

:sad2:
I guess that dope-slapping each of ‘em in turn was just not going to be a practical solution.

I don't think ANYTHING short of tying them to their beds would have worked.

Might depend on where the ADR was scheduled.
If it were, say… at the Kona, they’d be fools to miss out.
At least, I’d not be missin’ out on some of that good morning nosh (and the best coffee at WDW).

Well, you'll have to wait to find out in the next TR whether they were fools because it was Kona we were headed to.

Working on it… You do the same!
Nice update. Gorgeous pictures of the lights.
Makes me want to go back.

soon
::yes::

Thanks; I spent the entire day cleaning; tomorrow it's time to clean out cabinets.

Great Santa Goofy pics! We waited to see him too, we were in line for a while, and then it turns out, I hated how the pictures ended up! I'll still post them on my TR though, just because we waited so long! :rotfl2:

You better post them! You always say you take bad pictures and I disagree.

You can never have to many Osborne Lights pictures! I love the lights SO much, I've seen them 4 years in a row now, and I can't imagine kicking off the Christmas season without seeing them! :cool1:

Mark said it will be sad if we don't go back now that we've seen them once.

I think the Yacht Club is SO beautiful at Christmas, I love all of the decorations and everything! I really have to try Yachtsman someday, I keep hearing it's fantastic! :thumbsup2

I have to tell you it will knock LeCellier off the top of your list...it is 100% better.

I'm sorry your friends wouldn't wait...it was such a special picture to have on such a special night. You must go to Yachtsman...out of this world good.

What a great night! I love your Osborne lights and Santa Goofy pictures. Those lights are so breathtaking! And looks like you enjoyed your dinner at Yachtsman :goodvibes

Thanks; it was a perfect night...hope to be back to see the lights this year. The Yachtsman was my favorite meal of the trip and we'll definitely be back.

Beautiful family! Glad you enjoyed yourselves.

I really love reading these trip reports. Very enjoyable reading.

Thank you; I'm glad you are enjoying. I hope you'll stay around for the last three days.

Oh Kathy I can't wait for the Granny trip to see those lights !!Awesome pix and update !!

Rosie, I sure hope you get to do your Granny trip...you will love the lights.

Love all your pictures of the Osbourn lights! :goodvibes

Thanks, Tim.

I don't know how we missed Santa Goofy in Nov? I would of loved a picture with him! :confused3

Sorry you missed him; maybe you didn't know he was going to be there? I should have told you when Nicki told me.

I guess I need to add Yachtsman to our list of restaurants to try. Your empty plate has got me hungry. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Maybe you and Mel can do it this trip since you won't have the kids? It's really, really good.

Luv the lights pictures and luv Santa Goofy's setting in DHS. We saw him in Animal Kingdom in 2011.

I wish we'd had time to go to Animal Kingdom to see their decorations....next time for sure.

Now I'm caught up!! You can't share too many Osborne lights photos! Love them. And to see Santa Goofy!! What great photos. :)

Thank you, Brenda...glad you liked them.

I am So Glad that you enjoyed your Yachtsman dinner for Marks b-day! I can't wait to go back there in a couple months.

Best meal of the trip; I'm only sorry we never went earlier. It will be the first ADR I make AFTER our Be Our Guest ADR for August.

Hmmmm.... not sure how much I could tolerate with the rowdy young 'uns at the pool.... :confused3

It was really beginning to get on my nerves.

This is really such a wonderfully, memorable family/friends (like family) trip Kathy!

It truly was and I am so happy we did it.

Oh the Osborne Lights look amazing! Can you believe that we missed the opening day of the lights when we were there for Thanksgiving many many years ago?

That's too bad, Lisa. Maybe when Hunter goes to college, you and John can take a trip and go see them?

All of the Photopass pictures are so good! You can tell just how much ya'll are enjoying being together.

Thanks; we really had the best time ever with Andy and Des and Nicki and Todd.

I love your light pictures...can't wait to see them next year!

Thank you again.

Y'all are wearing me out!! After the day in the park I'm not sure I could have been awake enough to eat dinner! According to Nicki's report you weren't too sure either, but perked up when the food came! :goodvibes

The light pictures look great! I just don't know I'll ever be able to see them. I have such horrible eye sensitivity (especially to LED lights) it would probably be one big, painful situation. :worried:
But I always love looking at pictures of them! :goodvibes Your pictures made me feel like I was there, especially under the blanket of them. :lovestruc

Hope you had a much quieter night than the night before.

Enjoying your posts immensely! Just reading it and looking at the photo's have me right back at WDW. All the smiles on all 6 of your faces show just what a magical trip this was - YAY!

Read you soon - :surfweb:

Yay for getting that cupcake. I got one for the 1st time this past trip. I shared it with Claire and my niece. it was so darn good. I think we got the peanut butter one. It was filling, even sharing it 3 ways. And the girls were really good at eating their share! :rotfl:

I love your tattoe. Did you get it at the palce out front of Rockin Roller coaster? Claire and my niece each got one too. They loved theirs.

The osborne lights....ahhhh! Words can't even describe it. It was incredible. Pictures do not do it justice. I NEED to see them again. i got chills when they lit them. It was just awesome. it looks like some really great times that day for you all. How exciting this all must've been for Mark. One day just thinking he would have to keep working and all of a sudden he is in Disney! What an awesome surprise.

I had a few people recognize me this trip too. It's kind of neat.

Love the photos of you with Goofy Santa... I love that they have the different Holiday Outfits for the characters...:goodvibes Goofy Santa is extra good...:thumbsup2

Yum for Yachtsman... Trying to decide on a special dinner next July...Seriously thinking about Yachtman... Sounds fabulous...:goodvibes

Osbourne Lights are just amazing...:goodvibes You got some really great photos... It's actually hard to explain how immersed you get in them and quite how many there are... I was in awe... David who has hardly ever been speechless in his 10 years... (at least since he learned to speak...;) was almost speechless... I think he was having an almost out of body experience... he was so totally blown away...

Lovely update...:cloud9:

My goodness, everything looks so pretty decorated for Christmas. It's been several years since I visited at that time of year... may have to fix that in 2013! :santa:

So glad you enjoyed the birthday dinner. I have only eaten there once and it was positively delish. Not sure why I haven't been back. :confused3 Too many restaurants too little time!
