Hi my name is Gemma-April and i have been reading everyone's disney stories for about 5 months now, but have never written on here myself as i didn't think i would be going on my own disney trip for at least 3 years. My boyfriend works in insurance and over here (the uk) there was a record amount of snow in late 2010 - early 2011, therefore this meant he was having to work every weekend from december until march. At the time it was very hard as we were never seeing each other but now all the hard work has paid off as the extra money he earned for working the extra time we are spending on going to DISNEY!!!!
I have always been a disney fan, i just love the magic of it all. I went to disney land paris when i was about 3 or 4 but don't remember any of it but have never made it to disney world just yet....
Scott my boyfriend has been to disney world before he went in 2001 and was there when the twin towers got hit, meaning most of the disney experience was lost.
So on June 10th we are leaving the uk behind and going on a two week adventure, we only booked our tip on 11th of april so not too much time to plan so something's we may want to do might not be possible. We are both so very excited, for the past year i have been the home maker as there wasn't much need for me to work, but with this holiday of a life time fast approaching i have taken on a little job, just for the extra spending money.

So that was a little info about us so its my boyfriend scott and me going to disney and we are leaving behind our 1 year old baby boy heff behind (heff is a black lab, but i think of him as my baby).

As we booked our holiday to disney with only around about 7 weeks before we leave so things aren't going to be ideal but its still going to be a disney holiday so who am i to complain??

I know everyone is going to think we are mad, booking so close to our holiday date but its soooo exciting to think in a few weeks i will be out there living out my life long dream.

One of the things we are missing out on is staying in an actual disney hotel, i know i'm on the dark side but there are reasons... for one it was to late to book the hotel i wanted for those dates and secondly the money we are saving from staying in a non disney hotel means we will have more money to spend whilst we are out there!!!!

The hotel we are staying in is the Econ lodge inn, it looks like an ok hotel but to be honest the way i see it is that all we will be doing there is sleeping and the rest of the time we will be out at the parks.
We literally haven't booked anything yet as i started a new job last week so all my free time has been adjusting to working life and the fact that i now have to do my house work in the evenings.

The one thing we have booked is swimming with dolphins at discovery cove, which i cant wait for!! We haven't even booked our tickets for the parks yet....so if anyone knows of any deals on at the moment then let me know.

Also anyone's advice on anything would be so very helpful, i'm worrying about what to wear, what comfy shoes to take and everything like that.
Hope some of you can help.
Gem xx
